in my glorious motherland you get the firing squad for being failed spy. In glorious EEUU, you get life in prison or death by lethal injection for being failed spy. It's only right for the saints gm to get the guillotine!

really getting the fbi involved? well at least the nfl has blessed us with some excuse to talk football all throughout the offseason again.

If they are saying it was all disconnected in 2005, then the only evidence out there is this source that ESPN has speaking anonymously saying it happened. Even if true, I doubt anything ever really comes from this unless they can get more sources to step forward and speak up.

In the court of public opinion though, the Saints are already guilty. This off-season has just been one haymaker after another for them. And, honestly, I couldn't be happier.....I know far too many cocky, arrogant Saints fans who actually have DISDAIN towards Houston, even after everything we as a city did for them. Ungrateful doesn't even begin to describe them.

This is all true, but what are the real consequences for New Orleans or the Saints? What do they care of the public outside of New Orleans thinks they are a bunch of cheaters. At this point they just want to get past this and if there are no further sanctions from the NFL or goverment related to these accusations, then I think it amounts to a bunch of noise.

Well, on the field, they give absolutely no sh!ts. However, after Katrina, they have enjoyed "preferred member" status amongst casual fans, and their run of success has only bolstered that. The number of Saints jerseys across the US has probably multiplied exponentially since 2005, and their claim of being "America's New Team" is going to come to a crashing halt. While the players, and the true diehard Saints fans don't care, and just want this to be over, I'm sure the marketing dept over at the Superdome is probably feeling the pinch a bit.

Exactly. Why the hell sit on evidence like this for 50 years and then bring it up? ESPN has a crack team of reporters on this one and I don't care for the Saints.
