Yeah, kids do stupid things. When I was 11 or 12 a friend and I tried to pry open a manhole cover with a hollow metal pipe. We were into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and for some reason wanted to go into the sewer. Anyway, we got the cover partway up and I put my hands under the cover to lift it. The hollow pipe bent and the cover came crashing down. My fingers were briefly (like nano seconds) trapped between the cover and the hole. It hurt like hell and I ended up losing the the finger nails on both of my middle fingers (they grew back). I was lucky my fingers didn't get cut off. Still, I was imitating something that didn't portray itself as possibly doing damage. You never sas TMNT get their fingers cut off trying to go into the sewer. Imitating something that causes death like shooting a gun, stabbing somebody, suffocation, or hanging is pretty stupid even if you're 10.
puuuuuuuhlease! i almost killed my sister several times imitating that damn coyote and road runner. saddams hanging was nothing compared to that show. dont even get me started on tom and jerry.

It's not like he got shot or anything. Obviously it must be an extremely difficult time for the family and all - truly saddening. However, the kid was obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed.

I hate to say this...but the kids looked and his family just seem ignorant. Education is the only way to know right from wrong. My 7 year old would never think about putting anything around his neck because he knows better. From a young age he has been told this and told that. Also...those Mexican stations suck. They don't know their head from their arses when it comes to good journalism. The kid should never have been watching that crap.
For some reason I doubt it. That reason is that he thought it would be a good idea to mimic someone's death.
How is this pinned on Saddam? The dude didn't hang himself. He was sentenced to death. Don't blame Saddam for this kid's death. That's not right.
Please can't we remove violence from the news and have it be about puppy dogs and rainbows. It just isn't fair to the children to expose them to this stuff.
