Cleveland has never been and is not favorite to win the NBA title. But for a miraculous 3-pt shot by LBJ in the last second of game 2, Cav would have been swept by the Magic. as it is, Magic will win game 6 in Orlando, where the Cav are winless in the playoff.
i don't think u guys r giving the fakers bigs enough credit... bynum may not be 100% but he's a big body... and dwight struggles against big bodies... and if you factor in gasol and odom in there... dwight is screwed and even though hedo is supposedly 6'10 and rashard is tall as well... they are not tough... they are basically small forwards AND soft i dont know why more teams dont try to stack all their positions with height and length?!?!?!?! phil jackson LOVES height and length... odom, pippen, harper, kukoc, ariza... all LONG and TALL denver has a lot of height and length... if only Nene was 7'2... then denver would match up PERFECTLY with the fakers rockets need to do that too!!
So min....you say ORL is soft with Mr. Turk and Mr. Lewis... But Odom, Bynum and Gasol aren't? *shakes head and walks away*
all soft... but turk and lewis are softer softy scale CHARMIN Yao Gasol Hedo Lewis Odom Bynum . . . Dwight KG ROCK
No matter which eastern team ends up in the Finals, it will be the underdog. I think Magic has a better chance of beating the Lakers than Cavs does. Magic's frontcourt creates mismatch for the Lakers and I think Pietrus can defend Kobe better than Lebron. Cavs is just a one-man team and there is no way Lebron can beat the Lakers all by himself.
Cleveland's a BIG favorite over the Nuggets. The Cavs could go back to the defense they normally play. Besides all that, they OWN the Nuggets.
If Lewis' 3 in game 1 doesn't go in...it's 3-2 Cleveland. If Lewis' 3 in game 4 (on the same kind of shot that LeBron took in gm 2) doesn't go in, its 3-2 Cleveland. See this is the problem, everyone wants to look at it on one side and one side only...it's been 5 games that could have went either way.
Because they swept us this year? Melo is 8-4 against LeBron counting the Cavs sweep this year. I wish every team owned the Nugs that way...
The deciding factor should be Mbenga. Bynum's good days are mediocre and good only for the fact that the rest of the time he's doe eyed on the bench. He lost the will to play except for 1-2 games against us, he'll not show up against DH who does get leniency. Gasol will fold on D and the job will fall in Mbengas lap.
Nuggets please pull out a miracle... I'm high on the Magic, I'm sure they can take the Fakers to 6 or 7 games but I doubt they can win a whole series against them.
I wonder if the Magic and Lakers meet who will reach the magic number of 7 technicals and get suspended first, Kobe or Dwight?
Soft as in POS wuss on the court, or soft as in injury prone? Did you NOT see when Yao came back and helped the Rockets win over the Lakers? I'd put Yao right behind Dwight, if its the POS wuss on the court category.
If Yao was so Soft, Dwight would own him all the time, completely opposite happens Relative lack of athleticism should not be confused as softness.
We all need to support Orlando now. Finish Cleveland and the Lakers and the best results will occur. Lebron goes to New York, Kobe opts out. Yay!
Yeah...but different teams then. Nelson played in both of those games. V-Rad was still a Laker then. My only hope is that the Lakers have a better shot at losing when they don't win the battle down low, and I definately don't see them winning that with Howard down there. He has killed them this year. I don't see anyone that he or Bynum can hold in Orlando's frontcourt. But on the flipside, I don't see how Lewis or Turk can check him on the other end either. I guess the best hope would be for Lewis to at least keep scoring with him. I mean, can we really see Gasol or Bynum being put through the pick-n-roll all series long? The Magic also at least have bigger guards that they can stick on Kobe to give him harder looks. Pietrus seems to do a good job of staying in front of LeBron, who is quicker than Kobe but doesn't have his jumper. But LA has homecourt and the ultimate closer, so I still see them beating Orlando. Young teams just seem to not play as well once they get to the Finals. But you never know...the Magic seem to have grit this year. Closing out two series on the road....never quitting when they get down 20+, etc.
