Actually it's almost certainly in the Lakers' best interest to lose that game against a tanking rival. I have to admit that this season is kind of lame without the Lakers being nearly as hateable as usual.

True, but they are so godawful that they may finish below the Lakers. Also, we aren't quite at that spectacular part of the season known as "tank time" when all of the players on the crappy teams like Cleveland suddenly go out for the year with odd ailments. Trust me, as a long time Clipper fan, I know more about the tanking process than any of you novices!
