Overall ORtg still a terrible 95 pts per 100 poss. Turnover rate over 20%. Shoots higher % due to shots coming at rim.

Combo of picks? Try 2nd round pick. Look at Morris. Look at Terrence Williams. Being a lotto pick doesn't mean you have value.

If TRob had significantly more value than Patterson, Kings would have traded him for significantly more value than Patterson. People would have been knocking the doors down offering Kings more value than Patterson.

If you want Reddick, just sign his ass. If you want extra cap room, trade Pat for a future pick instead of expensive bust like Robinson. Robinson makes more money than Pat. We did not get cap room from that trade.

This deal is like the THABEET trade except we don't get a draft pick.

actually your wrong again... twitter below up with feedback from GMs that the rockets fleeced the kings and that they did not make t rob available for trade to any other teams, and if they had they could have got much more in return.

I believe I saw 50 different sources saying that as it happened on twitter.

    Twitter is the evidence?

Dude, Robinson's value will only go down unless he turns things around quickly. He is simply not a trust worthy player right now.

You just got repped. Carl is going into DD 2.0 right now. The man is letting his ego let the most of him, not allowing him to back off his PPat love. Ppat is a rotational player, a dime a dozen in this league. Morey was not about to overpay for his average skills.

I mean, the guy was good but he was not Blake Griffin.

It's almost like PPat tapped that CH and now Carl is upset that won't be happening anymore.

I personally see a lot of potential in robinson. I think he can at least be a kenneth farried type of player. This is from watching college, few games on kings, and what I have seen from him here.

I was just saying...just because they took patterson doesnt mean that was the most they could have got. Thats just what they wanted.

I felt like that trade was one of the biggest rip offs I have ever seen...thats why I am so confused why you have a problem with it. You can get patterson players every draft, every free agency, every deadline... no risk dealing him for a high upside guy.

If he doesnt pan out well then he doesnt pan out....but its worth the risk if he makes good on the no 5 selection.

It depends. If Patterson is really so worthless as you guys make him out to be, why would teams offer him much? If Morey could sign him for say 3M a year (something like the Delfino deal), would it be worth it? If for argument's sake, Robinson does turn out to be a bust, do you want him or Patterson as your backup PF? To me, saying that "even if Robinson turns out to be a bust" the trade is still good makes no sense.

The only way the deal is good is either (1) Robinson turns out to be better than Patterson, or (2) Morey can flip Robinson for something better than Patterson. I am not like CH who is so sure of Robinson's failure. I think we should wait and see before we declare this trade a win or a loss.

Did they say this was his best rebounding game as a King in 10 games?

Seeing as it was only 9 boards, I see the reasoning for this trade. Love the guy, but PFs need to rebound.

The trade was horrendous, no other way to look at it. Not only is Patterson 10x the player Robinson is, he was perfect for our system and will also have more trade value in the summer than Robinson. Pure trash move and i'd be livid if I was McHale.

the rockets are set at center, small forward, and the guards. other than james harden, neither position is a star. the rockets need their second big money player at power forward. they did not have room for morris and patterson. if the trade required both to go so be it. neither was going to be the starter. patterson is what he is, he would be a nice bench player in the future but the rockets need a start at the pf position

This is ridiculous. The deal is done. Stop trolling every section of the forum with anti-Robinson pro-Patterson drivel. We get it, you didn't like the deal. I know you're trying to take the unpopular opinion to take on the holier-than-thou attitude of basketball knowledge, but you're just embarrassing yourself.

QFT. If we miss the playoffs this season, Robinson better be awesome to make it worthwhile. If we make the playoffs despite losing Patterson, it'll be an inconsequential sacrifice.

Dude, I know you're in love with Patrick but you gotta let this go. He's gone now and it's for the better so deal with it.

its not that the trade is good even if he is a bust...its that it was a smart move regardless...its worth the risk...thats the point here. Patterson really has about as much value as morris which is 2nd rd pick which is worth about 3 million dollars.

No. You obviously can't see it, but PPat was destined for something special. I mean c'mon! He was clearly the next Kevin Garnett! With his insane athleticism and undeniable rebounding skills, he would have taken us to the top! Stupid Asik was just stealing all his rebounds...

There is no way we will ever find another player like him. Ever! Stretch 4's are impossible to come by; it could be decades till we see a player of his talent and potential light up the Toyota Center.

Who is going to play that supreme defense? Who is going to lock down those opposing 4's? Certainly not PPat, because we gave him away for nothing!

Robinson is clearly the second coming of Darko Milicic, but less athletic. He's garbage. Complete trash. Will never amount to anything in this league. And I've deciphered all of that from the 7 games he's played with the Rockets.

your lame attempt at a clever comment implies that Ryan Bowen is the same as LeBron James, also a starter on a playoff team.
