Hawks should have just drafted Paul or Williams when they had a shot. I still can't believe they passed on noth of those dudes....

This could really land Atlanta into the playoffs. I'm actually happy for them, been too long since they've had something to care about.

I like this trade simply because anything that makes the hawks better drops that first rounder they owe Phoenix this year - especially if it makes the difference between the lottery and the playoffs.

    Great trade for Atlanta.

They finally get a true PG with some leadership and experience. Just what a young team needs. Bibby should flourish with a team that consists of so many athletic players.

They should end up as one of the top 5 maybe 3 teams in the East this year (maybe not in record, but in ability to win a playoff series).

This is also good for the Rockets. We won't have to worry about another team trying to claw their way up for the playoffs. They should be on autopilot for a good lottery pick from here on out.

Bad for the Rockets. Now the Kings won't deal out losses to the Mavs, Warriors, Suns, Spurs, etc...

The Hawks' defense becomes even more non-existant. This does very little for Atlanta in terms of Win/Losses.

Wow, expiry contracts are gold in this trade season. How valuable will J-Ho's expiry contract be next season? Instead, we have Mike James rotting on the bench with one more season in his contract.

Bibby goes east and not west, good for us. Hawks might finally make the playoffs.

Is Sheldon Willam's contract an expiry? Have Hawks picked up their option of next year?

I wish we can get Artest from them......

This guy still plays amazing D, and in the right situation will flourish....he's already played with Adelman so he knows the system.....he's got the fire that T-Mac lacks. so i guess it'll balance out and it'll mean perfect harmony :D

So who's going to be starting PG in SAC? Udrih, Johnson or Lue?

Interesting thing about this trade.........at least one of Lue or AJ has to be released. Kings don't have room for both. They've got to release at least 2 of those players......unless they send out multiple players in another trade with Artest, something like a 3 for 1 deal.

I would bet at least one of Lue/AJ is let go.

And both guys would represent help backing up the point. Both guys shooting over 40% from 3.

    ............just say'n............better than nuth'n.

I had a look at the Kings roster... They have a couple of DNP collectors on the bench in Dahntay Jones and Justin Williams.

Ty Lue is a beast. He has now been traded for both Tmac and Bibby.

I suspect Petrie will trade Ron to the first team that give hims expirings for a package of Ron and Kenny T.

I also suspect he won't get a taker.

Then I think he'll settle for some prospect and expiriong contract fillers.

The most realistic offer from Rockets is the contracts of SF, Bonz Snyder and either Brooks or Landry. Maybe a pick too.
