Lets see. Morey never played basketball in his life, graduated from mit as a stats guru. He's hired by boston and helps assemble lottery teams. Now moneyball is going to work and it makes him qualified. That makes him as qualified as the ex magic gm that came from hockey.

For Artest I would give up Aaron Brooks, Steve Francis, Kirk Snyder and a 1st round pick but only if he agrees to an extension before the trade. No way we give up Scola for him...NEVER!!

Now THIS is a trade idea that is win-win for both teams.

You hit the hammer directly on the head.

Getting both Artest and Bibby would elevate the Rockets chances TO WIN in the playoffs. Right now, with the current roster, they would be lucky to just get in, winning streak notwithstanding.

FACT: Artest HAS that killer instinct.

FACT: McLady DOES NOT have that killer instinct.

Artest and Bibby will make us contenders!

Even if its a one year lease, we would have the $$ to possibly resign him next year.

If he doesn't want to stay, then there's always Hibachi ;)

McGrady is still an elite playmaker and can almost always find a shot for someone in tough moments. That's what really matters come playoff time. TMac won't be matching up with Artest every game either.

Ah yes, but you are a poster on a fan message site that has achieved "member" status. That makes you far more qualified to make the personel decisions for this team.

Perfect example of a game that felt like a post season game where we defintely need a 3rd scorer impact player. Game also an example of how Adeleman's motion offense can be neutralized badly by an increase in defensive pressure that is congrous with post season play. A whole quarter where we had only 2 people score, that is how a run and gun type of offense gets killed in the playoffs when D is what wins championships.

Artest needs to be in Houston, this guy is built for being a post season warrior.

Either Scola, laundry or Brooks have to be explored if we can get Artest.

Rookies will be killed in the post season. We need proven comodities in the win now idiom.

For this game? Yes. Watch the Sacto games last year and see who owns who. McGrady tore Artest a new one.

i pretty much watch every game, and yes sometimes im on drugs, but....

first of all, MAC has been constantly hurt the past two years.

second, he HAS NOT been a "killer" consistently, if even at all.

third, DID YOU JUST WATCH THE LAST TWO MINUTES OF THAT GAME???

He had an advantage going to the basket but tryed to dump it off to Yao when he SHOULD HAVE dunked it or drawn a foul. Thus playing like McLADY

Huh? In the last 13 games or so T-Mac has been killer in the clutch.

And BTW, you keep bringing up what Artest did tonight, but what about T-Mac in the first Rockets-Kings game? He had 28pts in the 2nd half alone.
