This paragraph is so wrong. He is as good as ever. The Kings were better with Peja because Mike Bibby wasn't hurt and they had Webber in his prime. The year he got traded to Kings, they improved immediately. The emergence of Kevin Martin happened only last season when they had an idiot coach and an injured Bibby. Their record this season isn't that bad when you consider that Bibby has maybe played a couple of games, Kevin Martin missed around a month and Artest himself was out.

Another thing is that Kings don't have any good defensive bigmen. In Indiana, Artest had Jermaine (and Foster?) behind his back. Now he has Brad Miller and Mikki Moore. Yao Ming behind him would let Artest be that much more aggressive as a defender.

How he would fit in overall? I don't know. I say go for it if we can afford it. If he really means what he said he should accept an incentive-based contract where the team has to reach certain goals with him playing certain minutes for him to get the full contract value. That way, we would be somewhat protected from him flaking out, I think.

Ron Artest is fighter and a "looney" also unfortunately. But then Adelman is the coach for him and I believed he has good feelings for Adelman and Rockets has a chance to get him. If we can get him, it would unbelievable and when TMac is injured, he'll take over.

Artest could opt out, and Arenas could become a restricted free agent. Don't know about Artest, but Arenas indicated that he would take less money to go to a championship contending team. If we go far in the playoffs this year, we would be in that category. If both are willing to go to winning teams for cheap...

    C - Yao
    PF - Scola
    SF - Artest
    SG - McGrady
    PG - Arenas

Bench: Alston, Battier, Brooks, Hayes, Landry, Wells, James/Francis
