People said the same thing about Billups... Then he gets traded, wins a title and becomes the premier pg of the NBA.
That's not the point bro. Thing is you, as a professional player, has to help your team in other ways. Stupid turnovers, no effort, no expressions, no hustle, bad passing, all this combined with bad shooting is what's problem. I can understand it might take him time to get his shot back, but NO, I am not excusing him to keep ball for 20 seconds and then just give it to someone.... I just don't expect him to average lots of points... just expecting right now that he find ways to help team, not hurt. That's all.
brooks doesn't have the skillset to do what billups did. if he wins a title, it'll be off the bench for a contender when you're playing bad, and your contract situation is in limbo and you lost your starting job, things like this will pop off. however, i have never heard about the cancer thing. first time.
I wish, HOWEVER I wouldn't be surprised if something is happening behind the scenes with Aaron and a trade.
Question was asked to Lowry of Brooks, Brooks left the bench after he finished his time on the court and didn't return. Lowry had no comment, just stated he didn't know what happened to Broooks.
I think the heart, effort and hustle Lowry is exhibiting is what brings the mob onto Brooks. Brooks is struggling, big time, but he isn't doing the little things that made Lowry such a worker on the court. This game pretty much defines both players. Lowry, with the block on Gasol, and a smart hustle play to throw the ball back to the other side in OT. Brooks catches an inbounds pass with one hand, trying to do some fancy dribbling move and loses it out of bounds when we were already down big. You have a guy playing all out every game in order to keep his position, and you have another making poor judgements after poor judgements, showing little to no signs of effort to regain his starting job.
And some wonder why the top class free agents didn't want to come to Houston? Some of the comments are really loaded with venom. They once said in Philly they would boo santa claus, in Houston the fans would probably lynch him for missing a lay up. Give the guy a break, he looks to still be playing hurt, I rolled my ankle on someones foot going up for a rebound last November, and I can still feel the pinch & pain, even when I'm walking. It is also mental, you don't want to re injure the ankle so you are in two minds when playing. I hope AB comes back better than ever, we need as much help as possible.
This. It's not a big problem if he does not make a lot of points because his shots are not falling, as long as he does other things right. I just wanna see him play for the team... just cheer for people if nothing else... right now, it looks to me that he is all about himself.
We're 52 games in, and our playoff hopes are slipping away. I think we're well past the point where it makes sense to accuse others of zero patience.
Fans talking on a message board is not the reason free agents aren't coming to Houston. In fact, the fans that actually go to the games are very friendly and hardly ever boo the Rockets even when it is warranted.
I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt because of his ankle, but he has been moving around well out on the floor since his return.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4amdv7h Problem solved. Denver gets the players they want, New Jersey gets players and a star, Houston gets a center and a PG who is focused. We can toss Denver a first rounder. Ignore the +/- wins on the bottom. That thing is broken. Ty Lawson is not that efficient.
I wasn't talking about the fans at the game, more the comments in the thread. A fan from Houston actually sent me all the team autographs and some thunder sticks all the way to me in Sydney, Australia. So I know that we have some of the greatest fans in all the NBA. I hope one day soon to come to Houston to watch some games, that is one of my goals.

Just an awful year for the dude. I'd take Flynn over him, Brooks has always been overrated on this board. Flynn has way more potential.
