Ugh. You guys are reading far too much into this. I just want to laugh at him cause I don't like him. Is that too much to ask?
I think Demeco showed the proper way to get paid, keep your mouth shut to the media and show up every day and put in work, you'll get yours.
^^ was taking him serious until the Cromartie reference. angry fanboy lolz. "Dunta's departure left a gaping hole..." don't you mean "Dunta's departure maintains a gaping hole..."
Was about to post this, word for word. agree, agree. Dunta was pretty good at helping out on the run, but we've lost pretty much nothing with regards to pass coverage.
I think it is more like, "Dunta's departure exposed an already gaping hole." Unless you watched the Texans/Colts this season, then you could have wrote, "Peyton Manning exposed a gaping hole." Either way, I dont think you can describe that piece as an "Angry Fanboy" simply because the Cromartie deal is well known, and not giving up a 3rd round pick for him is asinine, whether he is deserving of his All-Pro status or not. Bob McNair is so determined to build his team through the draft, the same way Robert Kraft, Jim Irsay and others have done, he is dropping the ball on free agency all together. He is so worried that they will make another Ahman Green aquisition that he wont make any calculated risks like that again.
So are you wanting the instant gratification of success in 2010, or are you ultimately more worried about the years following? Cro makes you better this year, a 3rd round pick, paired up with a second year player in Quin does not bode well for a playoff birth in 2010.
Yes, rly. No CB projected outside of the 2nd round can 100% make the Texans better in 2010 than Cromartie. Not saying I love him, but for a 3rd, I do.
The Texans really had no other realistic (and beneficial) for Ryans. They might've let him walk for draft picks, but on that hand can you find players in the draft to lessen the impact of losing Ryans. I'm pretty sure if the Texans did not work a deal out with him, he could've easily made more money with another team, especially given Dansby's deal. The Texans are really lucky, they have two potential future DPOYs on their roster.
