    Cuban owning the Astros would be an interesting and welcome thing, from my perspective.

    I have no interest in Cuban owning the Astros, but it would seem very possible since he partnered with Jim Crane who is from Houston, and came close to purchasing the Astros in 2008.

    I'm a moderate Astros fan at best, and my interest in the team would jump a lot if Cuban was the owner.

    Cuban would put the Astros back into the playoffs, say what you want but the dude spends and loves to win. He would make them competitive every year.

    Cubes for the 'Stros!!!!

    I'm glad the Ryan group ended up with ownership. The only time I want to see Cuban owning an MLB team is if it's for the Astros.

    This came from Richard Justice this morning so take it for what it's worth, but according to him there's about a never chance of Cuban owning an MLB team.

    spending money hasn't been the Astros problem...they've spent...just too often, recently, on the wrong things.

    honestly, i think Cuban is perfect for the NBA. i think he'd be big on acquiring free agents, but would never have the discipline to maintain a farm system. i think he'd trade away young prospects like crazy for someone who already has their name in lights. which is a good decision sometimes...but we've seen where that gets you.
