Is this the accuracy issue we were talking about Not too too bad . . . . move that ball inbounds by a yard and could be a touchdown BO'B should be able to correct that Rocket River
Whats impressive about this play is his eyes. He doesn't even look to that side until the last sec. He knew where he was going and had the safety fooled. Great job of not staring down your receiver, he needs reps to get a true valuation.
If Fitz struggles, Mallet is coming to the rescue, and it may not take much for that to happen. Interesting that OBrien has made no public remarks about the Mallet acquisition.
I saw what Ryan Mallett did to SEC Defenses when he was there. He made throws that I didn't think were possible. I'm telling you he just needs consistency. He's now matured and hope he is mentally ready. Fix those mental issues and we got ourselves a quality NFL QB.
The more I look at this situation, the more I think he is the QB OBrien wanted all along. If that is the case, it is just a matter of time till he starts. My guess is that Fitzpatrick is on a very short leash, and a few bad series or a few interceptions and Mallet trots on the field.
If he was playing with the Texans' second string O line that would have been a safety and people would say he held on to the ball too long. Just sayin'
Stupid Texans. Should of drafted Jimmy Garoppolo instead or drafted Derek Carr or traded for Bridgewater. Mallet is nothing but hype because he simply backed up the great Tom Brady for a few years, nothing more.
it's strange that the Texans have been silent on the acquisition of Mallet <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Tried to ask a question about Ryan Mallett, since, you know, that was kind of a big deal this weekend. Rick Smith wouldn't have it. <a class="hashtag" action="hash" title="#Texans">#Texans</a></p>— Tania Ganguli (@taniaganguli) <a href="https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/506933649305243648" data-datetime="2014-09-02T22:36:15+00:00">September 2, 2014</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script><blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>It's a ricidulous that on the first day of availability since trading for Mallett, <a class="hashtag" action="hash" title="#Texans">#Texans</a> made nobody relevant to that trade available.</p>— Tania Ganguli (@taniaganguli) <a href="https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/506933895221497856" data-datetime="2014-09-02T22:37:13+00:00">September 2, 2014</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
So Smith wasn't "relevant" to that trade? Speculation: BOB wanted Mallet all along and Smith didn't, but after an entire offseason of asking for him and the Patriots coming down on their asking price, Smith caved?
Well, she's got a point ... and it's her job, so I can understand her being a bit ticked about it. You make a trade that could have a big impact (admittedly at a weak position, but ...), you would think you could get some comments about it.
The Silence from the Texans is deafening. Something is up with this. OBrien might be working Mallet out with the first string. He might start on Sunday. Naw, surely not.
