Both Fitz and Hoyer got more efficient under OBrien. Posted career highs in QBrating (over 90 for both). The fact that Mallet couldn't even post above a 70 QBRating (something even Tebow did) is pretty telling.
I mean, it is. He's the worst QB in the NFL so saying he's better than ANYONE is overrating him in order to defend him. Anyway, it just kills the credibility of people who can't admit they were clearly wrong about Hoyer. Personally I was against Hoyer, I was against Mallett, and I was against Fitz. For whatever reason though, Hoyer is the only one that gets defended and he's the worst of the bunch.
Brian Hoyer is getting twice as much this year as Ryan mallet. Nfl talent evaluators don't agree with you and neither do stats.
You know what does agree with me? http://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=400874754 http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201601090htx.htm
Chum, delicious chum. And the fish always take the bait. <blockquote class="imgur-embed-pub" lang="en" data-id="a/FAMah"><a href="//imgur.com/FAMah"></a></blockquote><script async src="//s.imgur.com/min/embed.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Yeah....I know I'm being trolled, but when that stupidity is ignored it ends up being the narrative instead of just trolling BS. As such trolls occasionally need to be slapped with reality.
Pretty confusing. Bashing Mallett is not promoting Hoyer. No one says Hoyer is a great QB or even a good QB or even a QB worth a roster spot. He's just a better option than Mallett, who like other posters have said, will never have a season as good as Hoyer had last year....which wasn't a good season.
I love that you use preseason statistics so much to argue your position. It explains so much about you.
I was responding to preseason stats with other preseason stats. I understand that it doesn't tell the whole story because Mallett was playing against starters while Hoyer was playing against backups, but the fact that this argument is even still going on....or that the argument was even made in the first place says a whole lot of bad things about Hoyer fans' ability to analyze football.
Nothing new with Mallet, just another game where he averaged 5.4 yards per attempt Josh Johnson averaged 7.5 https://www.profootballfocus.com/pr...llett-ends-up-and-down-preseason-on-low-note/ Ryan Mallet unimpressive in preseason on intermediate and deep throws Quarterback grades: Ryan Mallett, 50.6; Josh Johnson, 72.8 Backup quarterback Ryan Mallet only dropped back to pass 12 times. He did complete every pass under 10 yards versus the Saints this week; however, when he attempted a pass over 10 yards, he went two-for-six for 33 yards. This has been a preseason trend where he has only completed five passes on 14 attempts when the ball has traveled 10 yards in the air. If Joe Flacco happens to go down with another injury, the Ravens could be in for another high draft pick next year.
Crickets from Bobby. Guess he's too busy patting himself on the back because he happened to pick the guy with the least catastropic knee injury.
