You got to love revisionist history. Between 2009 and his injury in 2011 Schaub was probably a top 7 qb in this league. He also had the ability to lead his team from behind in the 2nd half of games.

But since this thread is about Fitzpatrick I will say hat he is gritty and a pretty good scrambler.

    This is like pulling teeth.

We will see what we have in Mallett within next 2 games, I would think.

Funny thing is if Fitz just held the ball, he wouldve seen Foster leaking out uncontested...ALSOOOOOOO...on the drive where we put up 3 points, we couldve had a touchdown, Andre Johnson(i think it was him) was open on an inside post to the corner of the endzone...that was 6...Instead, Fitz almost threw an INT at the 1-2 yd line...and we settled for 3.

Fans need to start burning Fitz jerseys like they did Schaub. The guy's trash. Texans front offense showing incompetence thinking they could roll with this scrub and have a chance consistently. Almost like they are trying to throw this season so they could get QB in next year's deeper QB draft. There's no other excuse for them starting Fitz, he not a starting QB. He's not even a good back up.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is James Harden's long-lost brother.

    Both have impressive beards.
Both touch the ball a ton on offense.
    Neither plays any defense.
And both spend a lot of time behind big booties.

Next yrs draft class is no better than this yrs was. Petty and Hogan look like 4th rounders. Texans will not be bad enough to get Mariota nor would they touch Winston. That leaves you with Brett Hundley. Who know what the scouts will think of him after they dissect his tape.

When the lights were brightest, Schaub was at his worst. Gaudy regular season numbers don't mean that much when you come up small in the biggest moments. TJ Yates was as good as Schaub in the playoffs.

we could get mariota if some unfortunate events play out, but yes got to keep improving each week. I think a 8-8 or 9-7 wild card is not out of the question if can get back on track against the Colts.

All that may be true..but I'd far rather have Schaub playing the way he was playing before last season than Ryan Fitzpatrick. At least we'd move the ball. This team is so limited by its QB it's silly.

Appreciation? Idk about that... I'm all in for Mallet for the rest of the season. Fitz is a good backup.
