Ryan doesn't have any responsibility for this, we know what happened, no need to overthink it.

The employee and the manager both signed off on this one and it can happen from all races sadly. Glad Bank of America corrected or worked to make it right and publicly apologized.

And the manager's move after the teller spoke to him should have been, "let's check his account and verify his ID (teller didn't even look at his name according to what the teller said on the 911 call) and ask him to come back to my office and we'll handle all this in private".

But he wanted to do it discreetly. If you go into the managers office someone might notice.

I withdrew 15K cash a few months ago and got all kinds of **** for it. I thought about changing banks but I guess that's just how they all are. This whole wearing a mask thing probably makes them even more paranoid.

People go sit down with bank managers to do paperwork all the time, for any number of reasons that do not usually involve cash transactions, it's easily the most private/discreet way you can conduct business inside a bank.

I pulled up to the bank in Friendswood once to get a five figure cashiers check to close on a rent house and another car pulled up next to me. I looked over and it was a black Rolls Royce with suicide doors (I have a picture somewhere). This big thugged out bald guy covered in tats gets out then his thicc lady gets out the other side with a duffel bag.

I go in and get my check and glance over and they are unloading stacks of 100s and 20s from this duffel bag.

    1. I did not feel like a baller that day with my puny five figure check
    2. I still wonder what these people did for the cash. Surely it was all legal or at least had a veneer of legality to deposit into Chase
    3. The bank did not call the cops

He ended up sitting with the bank manager for like 20 minutes waiting on the cops to come
At that point the manager should have called off the cops

The fact that let it get to cuffs is ridiculous

I hope he sues them into bankruptcy

    He should have broke them
For the next victim that could end up dead.

cop had gun drawn before cuffing Coogler…Coogler so much as sneezed or went to wipe an eye booger, and he could’ve been riddled with bullets

Pretty hard to imagine how this happened.

I will say that is a bizarre way to withdraw 12k in cash…

Can I get a refund from that 12k for watching that overhyped trash movie in theaters?

Sounds like he's done it before with no issues, but I can understand the worry. I had a friend who withdrew a large amount of money and they did the count at the counter. Next thing he knows, he was followed and his car broken into at his next stop to steal the money. Whether it was an inside job or someone in the bank noticed and follow him is unknown but discretion is needed. He should have talked to the manager and asked for discretion. but from what was said, it sounds like he's done it before.

They been like that even before the pandemic. Banks ****ing hate it when you withdraw your own money.

I had a couple of checks I needed to cash and they took my money and accused me of fake checks. I yelled at them and said then i need to be in ****ing jail right now.

Soon after I withdrew all my money and went elsewhere.

No I'm not really talking about that. The whole slipping an envelope thing strikes me as weird. I get what he was trying to do, but it would have made more sense to call up the bank, set up an appointment with a manager, etc.

Alright, my work here is done.
