Would this create a massive trade exception?

TRADING RYNO DOES NOT CLEAR ANY MORE MONEY FOR CLINT. WE CAN GO OVER THE CAP TO SIGN CAPELA WHICH WE ALREADY ARE ANYWAYS. ONLY THING IT DOES IS SAVE ON LUXURY TAX, WHICH WE AS FANS SHOULDN'T CARE ABOUT.

    Shumpert : $11,011,236.00
    Koufus : $8,739,500

Money wise they will fit with the Anderson trade, and basically they both sucks and their own team wanted to dump them.

I trust Morey won't give up any sh't for both. BUT, considering Anderson has one extra year left. If we will need to give a second rounder in this trade, it sounds fair.

Help me out here cause I could be wayyy off track.

Would it make sense for us to go into a 3 way trade for Melo so..
Anderson to the Kings (and if we're lucky one of OKC picks), Melo to us, and minimal waivable contracts to OKC.

Then we could use our MLE on someone other than Melo?

Might not save Tillman any money.. but I'm not Tillman so.. :/

Honestly, I'm not keen on him. He was a good defender with athleticism before he got hurt. If i'm not mistaken, his best years were with the Knicks rather than Cleveland.

NO disrespect to you, personally... but this is the kinda mindset that puzzles the hell outta me...

People say things like 'it's just Tilman's money' etc....
Exactly! It's his money - and he's bankrolling the organization.... he's the guy that decides if we buy draft picks, he's the guy that decides how much Capela is gonna get, he's the guy that's gonna decide if he wants to ok a trade that may have more payroll coming in...

Why wont people realize that this is a business... not an endless pot of money that can be pulled from as Morey finds ways to circumvent the cap... saving money is hugely important to our ongoing ability to spend...

No bad WANTS to pay taxes especially luxury tax. Fertitta can pay the luxury and may be willing too if there is a good chance the Rockets can compete.

just craziness... you don't want to give away the negative value contract for nothing? lol! Better Tilman pisses away an extra 100M on the possibility that Ryno's contract is gonna become the salary matching silver bullet that gets us somebody of value next year...

    wow....

Point is, it ain't my money and I'm not gonna sit here and act like I know what Tillman has planned.

Also, what may be deemed negative on this board may actually be loved by some team out there. I, nor you, know what Ryan Anderson's TRUE VALUE is.

SO don't act like you have all the answers. We don't know.

Sac-town could get a first rounder from Houston and OKC to eat Ryan's contract. We do it for obvious reasons because we would Melo on a one year deal and have his bird rights if it works out. OKC would do it because they get to get rid of Melo's contract and the associated luxury tax without taking anything back. They would save close to 80 million dollars I think. Sacramento would do it because they have to spend the money anyway and Ryan is a player they always wanted. Why not get 2 first round picks out of it.

The only way a pure Ryno dump makes sense is if the tax relief immediately goes into a higher offer for Capela, which makes him happy and a Rocket for the duration of Paul's contract.

last go around, the reported price was 2 first round picks to take Ryan Anderson's contract off our hands... that was last year when we were trying to find a 3rd team to take Ryno's contract so we could acquire Melo from the Knicks...
Granted a year later... 1 less year on the contract... but Ryno certainly didn't do anything in that time to increase his value as a player... it is a negative value contract by anyone's definition... if we waived him today... ain't nobody stepping up to claim him off waivers... If there's no fear that nobody will claim Melo's contract off waivers - there sure as hell aint no way anybody is claiming and paying Ryan Anderson...
Ryno's contract is widely considered to be one of the 5 worst in the league... we've been trying to move it for 2 years now - unsuccessfully...

    dont be delusional...

Its gonna be addition by subtraction. If he isnt on the team MDA wont be able to play him during the playoffs.

Doesn't make sense for the Kings, unless DM does something stupid, and overcompensates them by giving up Melton or Clark. The Kings may want another pick too.

There is nothing wrong to save money by NOT to hand out stupid contracts.

But it is a huge difference than dump away your current players and not getting anything back, even getting back a bad contract is a smarter move.

And that can change in a heartbeat, a dribble, a skip to my lou... patience may land Melo and other pieces. That's TBD.

How is me not knowing what Tillman wants to do being delusional? But you saying Ryno has no value is not delusional? WE DON'T KNOW
