I like Ryan Anderson as a person, but he is one of the worst defenders I've ever seen. He's awful on defense. If he's shooting lights out, he might be a plus on the floor. If he's just shooting at his normal rate, then he's a negative out on the floor. And if his shooting is off, then he will destroy your team when he's on the floor. That's how bad his defense is. And he's a streaky shooter. One game he might be lights out and the next he might brick everything.
I agree. Batum is probably also a better rebounder and post defender than Anderson, and that says a lot...also cause it's not like Anderson is a 45% 3pt shooter...he's what? 36%? And with pretty bad shot selection...it's true that he's able to create is own shot but, is he good at that? No. He takes a lot of bad shots and he's not Nowitzki, not even close.
Yes to Anderson & Deight because Anderson would be useless without Dwight!! Assuming we bring in a coach who decides to utilize Dwight for more than pick & rolls
Would appreciate RA's shooting. But he is a 1 dimensional player and a liability defensively. At the price point he is going to want to command, I don't think the Rockets can invest their cap room in a 1 dimensional player. Rockets need 2-way players at those prices.
Again. Dwight playing the pick & roll has ZERO to do with the coach. He refused to play this role with Stan VG and made him fired for this... He refused to play this role with Steve freakin Nash... He refused to play this role with Harden... Dwight wants to be a post player and not a pick & roll player, move on.
