You've been making a lot of angry post about race lately buddy. Spoiler This isn't the place for all this garbage.
I don't think Morey has shown to be the type who tries to move a player in the offseason after he signs a multiple year deal...
hopefully he can pick his shooting up soon, role players are not consistent. His shooting opens up the court a lot, his defender has to guard him on 3 point line since he can shoot 3 feet beyond that. People often quote 40% 3 point shooting, actually half of them are from 3 feet beyond 3 point line (from my own observation, no data support it)
At least Harden with all his mistakes, can contribute to the team's success during playoffs. The one good thing I noticed from Anderson so far during the playoffs is that he's making a strong effort on rebounds. U do not pay a glorified sniper to just rebound, he should be shooting until he makes them
Anderson isn't even on the court for a lot of key moments. Ariza at the four with Gordon and Lou or Bev in the game creates just as much if not more space. Just standing out there far from the basket is not a skill set and it isn't valuable. Especially not as valuable as some of you want to make it seem. If that was the case we could've just got Steve Novak for pennies.
He had a surprisingly great rebounding game his first game(12 boards in 38 minutes), outside of that, the last 3 games he's had a total of 12 rebounds in 82 minutes which is pretty crappy. That's an average of 4 rebounds in 27 minutes over the last 3 games, which is horrific for a 6'10 big. Then he's shooting 14% from 3 on 5 attempts per game and 36% from the field over all 4 games.
Anderson and Nene played two minutes together in game 4 and Nene scored two points. The other 26 points came with Nene being the only big in the floor with four wings and smalls. Additionally, Nene had played 69 minutes before game 4 and only about 18 of those minutes were alongside Anderson. Nene, and the team, have feasted on one-big lineups.....not on playing with Anderson.
He traded Jeremy Lin, Omer Asik, and Corey Brewer. Granted, they were all a couple seasons into their multiyear deals, but he had no qualms about dumping their contracts in order to upgrade the roster.
Trevor ariza the first time is what your looking for. I have, and will constantly defend Ryan and his place on this team and his contributions. He has been a mainstay in why Harden has been so great this year. Both because of his place on the court and in the locker room, which doesn't get the recognition it deserves after last year. Harden switched to pg and the added space for Harden to learn and grow and recognize defenses as the season has gone on is also added value. He is also a great locker room guy and after last year we needed those types in spades. I get frustrated watching him not shoot the open shot this series. And if he isn't going to let it fly he needs to sit. He is not a put the ball on the dribble and create type of player. Credit okc for crowding his space so much that when he has space he has been hesitant. That being said his value will come out in due time. People will say about time and then people revert back to hating as soon as he struggles again. See James harden: "he needs to have a standout performance in the playoffs" slaughters it for 3 straight games and a 2-1 lead and a missed 3 from being up 3-0. Has a rolled ankle and performs underwhelming and still comes in clutch. "James is allergic to running" "this bum just doesn't care" The truth is people would rather be hating and complaining. It's why sports talk is much more popular after losses than wins.
I haven't really piled on Anderson too much this season since they were winning most of their games. It's hard to complain about 55 wins and the 3rd best record in the league. But if we're ever gonna compete with the likes of the Warriors or even the Spurs, Anderson has to contribute. In fact, he was a huge factor in the wins at Oakland and San Antonio earlier in the season. You can survive against the Thunder with him doing virtually nothing. But the Rockets will be out in the second round if he doesn't find his shot(and his confidence) very soon.
That's because he is vital to our success against them exact teams and why he gets the contract he got. He draws draymond out of the paint and extremely waters their defense down. Spurs will try to limit him also and he needs to stroke it. If he is hot when can beat either team.
Funny you say that because I've noticed when we make a comeback it's usually with Ryan and Lou at the point.
I haven't pile on him much during regular season, but he is Paid too much to perform like a shtty bench player during playoffs, even if we do get through with the thunder series with sht Anderson, we won't be lucky deeper in playoffs when we need our sniper.
