why even enter if james white is in it  better than the NBa contest, agreed....the the guy in white had some nice dunks, but barely got them down and he just doesnt have the flair the good dunkers have..
wow. i have a proposal for commissioner Stern Dear Mr. Stern It has become clear that NBA players are not the best dunkers in the world...actually, I'm sure there are much better dunkers in the city the dunk contest is held in, no matter what city that may be. My proposal is for the NBA to change the dunk contest completely. Instead of having NBA players compete in the contest, allow AMERICA to showcase her dunk talent. NBA players do not care about dunks that please America, they only care about money. How about changing the name to the Sprite (or whoever is paying for that crap) American Dunk Showcase and allow anyone who wants to compete in the dunk contest on all star weekend to send a video of their best 3 dunks and have them reviewed by a panel of judges from all regions of the USA. 10 players will be selected to compete against one another at the NBDL All Star Game, and 5 dunkers from that contest will be chosen to compete in the American Dunk Showcase the Saturday before the All-Star Game (as it currently is held). Those 5 finalists will be paid what the NBA dunkers are normally paid for the dunk contest (because these new dunkers will actually appreciate it). The contest will have the same rules as the previous NBA Dunk Contests and this will revive the dunk contest to the level of competition and excitement that it used to have. Dunkers around America will love the national stage and excite the crowd like no one has seen before. Please consider this proposal Mr. Stern. - devoted NBA fan who wants to watch an exciting dunk contest again, because the last good one was in 2000 or at an And-One game
and if these were the rules for the dunk contest...why should i be any more excited than watching any of the 1,148 games that occur every season?
