anything is possible but russian analysts are just saying what is good for them. america is full of hard working people who bust their ass...moreso than any other country in the world. that is why we will always persevere in any scenario. we can fix this with the right person leading the way implementing the right ideas to fix it. it is completely obvious that russia is totally into watching us fail and fall apart so they can get a boner out of it. it's not going to happen.

 

1. No, I don't really see the economy collapsing. It's funny because Soviet analysts were saying the exact same thing in the '30s when we were in depression and they were shielded from the global downturn by communism; they still lost in the end. This time, it is more global because more countries and more heavily interwoven into the world economy. The drop in the price of oil can't be doing Russia any favors right now. I do see the US economy being overtaken by those of larger countries eventually, with Russia not being one of them.

2. He's right that our deficit is a problem.

3. If another country was to take the mantle of finance leader, it won't be Russia. They may have some oil wealth, but they have too much political uncertainty, corruption, and lack of experience to take the mantle any time soon. Besides, we don't need two leaders, and they won't be beating China.

4. I don't think the US would split, even in hard times. However, if they did, his 6 regions are ridiculous. I could see maybe Northeast, Southeast, and West.

The guy sounds like some of our sky is falling conservatives and financial guys who advocate putting all your money in physical gold.

However, he gets really far out when he starts talking about splitting into 6 countries. He has obviously never been to the US and has been highly restricted in his media habits.

Let's look at this through a historical perspective... The U.S. has gone through just as worse or even worse times with the Civil War and the Great Depression. I'm sure we will make it out of this one.

About the U.S. splitting into 6 different nations... How is that possible? More than ever the population is cohesive. There aren't any huge cultural divides like slavery, race, etc. Don't get me wrong, there are still social issues that need to be addressed, but more than ever we are united.

 

If we are going down this path then may suggest we create one small nation of extremely hot women and insert me in there for slavery/communism or whatever they desire to do with me.
