I'm old enough to remember Trump starting WWIII in January.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-50982073

I'm even old enough to remember Trump killing a couple hundred Russian soldiers a few years back.

    https://time.com/5237922/mike-pompeo-russia-confirmation/

Trying to juxtapose the myriad of Trump basher's positions about the 2 items above I suppose I'm not surprised that:

Then again, how confident should we be in trusting the NYT to know the inner workings of our intelligence and military community? I'd be cautious just blindly believing their reporting. In other words, stay calm and wait for more information to come in.

There's part of me hoping the NYTimes got played on this. Because THIS would be treasonous indifference on his part. But every time I try to give Trump the benefit of the doubt, I lose.

Trump is a big coward and a hypocrite. Fox News and Trump called Obama weak for not being hard on terrorist and here is Trump hugging it out with Putin and Kim Jung.

Is this the latest "Russia is scary" push pre-election? Do you think we all forgot about the 3 years of lies on Russia that the left dishonestly used to investigate, attack, and remove the President, and imprison his campaign team?

And Sam, why are you now trying to talk in urban dialect? Are you drunk, on tilt, or perhaps both?

It has been confirmed by multiple sauces! Absolutely need to stay calm and not invite Putin to G8 or pull out of Germany.

    > Russian intel and gov mess with our election (US Intel), No we didn't (Putin)
    - Paraphrasing trump: i trust russian over american intel

    > US attack on pro-Syrian gov targets killed Russian in 2018
    - US to pull out of Syria (chaotically)

    > Russian spy unit reported to put bounty on US and allies troop
    - Invite Putin Russia to G8
    - US to pull out of Germany

And I'm old enough to remember Trump caving in to Putin publicly and throwing US intel under the bus.

I'm also old enough to remember Trump throwing US allies the Kurds under the bus to the benefit of Russian interests too.

    From former Republican Steve Schmidt:

The CAO’s ( Casualty Assistance Officer’s) will arrive at the doorstep of an American family. There are always two and they will be dressed immaculately in the dress uniform of their service branch. It is their solemn duty to deliver the news that an American soldier, sailor, airman or marine has been killed in action. The casket will be draped in the flag of the United States of America. It will be carried aboard a military aircraft past service members standing at attention and saluting their fallen comrade.

That plane will land at Dover, Delaware and the family will be there to receive their loved one. There will be an honor guard that carries the casket to the waiting hearse past service members standing at attention and saluting. From the moment of death the body will have never been unaccompanied. There will be a military funeral. Taps will be played and three volleys of rifle fire will crack the air. The flag will be folded and then presented to a young widow or widower on behalf of a grateful nation. The Russians will pay the bounty for the dead American to an Afghan warlord.

The President of the United States knows this but he chooses to do worse than nothing. He rewards the Russians. He fights for their interests. He fights to have them rejoin the G-7. He delights them by withdrawing American forces from Germany. He puts his illiberal cronies in charge of VOA. He doesn’t care about the dead American Soldier.

Trump went to West Point and saw the young officers who will soon be targeted for death by Russian money. The cowardly Republican Senators will say nothing. They are too afraid to be tweeted at by Trump. The whole rancid lot of apologists, collaborators and silent weaklings needs to be repudiated by the righteous rage of the American people in November.

Maybe the Criminal in Chief was tweeting during the intel briefing and missed that part?

This means it's true. Like literally you can take the opposite of what she says and have a high confidence interval in it. This is year 4. 100 something days left. May God (who doesn't exist but I wish he/she did) help us all.

    Trump has still said nothing.

While our conservative friends here are saying

"But what about our flags? And what about our statues! That's far more important than bounties on Marines!"

It’s a losing issue. They care, but their only viable strategy is to keep mum until the next scandal emerges.

IF what the Press Secretary says is true, then who the hell forgot to brief Trump and Pens about it?

The clear implication being they are more invested in their cultish fealty to trump than to our nation, its principles, the US Constitution, our service personnel, our citizenry.
