Play wasn't dirty at all. He committed to lunging for the ball as the whistle blew. Kenny Smith said it best when he said it was bush-league. It was a childish middle school play. Beverly plays hard every play, its why we love him.
Durant lunging for Lin's injured chest/shoulder was far dirtier than what Beverley did because what Durant did was INTENTIONAL. Beverley went for the ball as the whistle blew, and it was definitely a chippy play, but not dirty. Westbrook had a right to be upset because getting injured on such an inconsequential play had to be incredibly frustrating, but it certainly wasn't DIRTY. Sefolosha lunging into Lin elbow-first the dirtiest play of that entire series, in all honesty.
Westbrook is irreplaceable for OKC. Even if he comes back 100%, missing 4-6 weeks will hurt their chances at homecourt big time. I like Jackson too, but Westbrook is just that good.
