The same move Bev pulled on Westbrook that resulted in the injury, Westbrook pulled on Lin during a regular season game last year. It was just a freak accident that the knee collided like that.

What the hell does Kyle Lowry flying knee first into Westbrook's knee have to do with Pat Beverley? Even if he had never injured his knee before, that would have hit him just the same. Has nothing to do with Bev.

Moreover, Westbrook is becoming a big whiner.

True, Bev had "none of that", but to go and call Lowry the anti-bev is a stupid blanket statement.

First of all, the circumstances were totally different. In one situation you had the playoffs and a player who hadn't missed a game in his entire career vs. a situation where a dude has been battling the same knee injury for awhile now.

Besides that, Lowry and Bev may not share the same kind of tactics, but both are most certainly gamers and absolute bulldogs. They share much more in common than not.

Bottom line: there is no guarantee Lowry would have went out of his way to apologize during the game if he was in Bev's place.

"WB is obviously fragile" even though he had previously never missed a game in high school, college and the NBA before Beverly hit his knee?

I laughed when Bev went after WB when he called the early timeout last game. It was clear was he was doing. I expected no less. That was great theater.

You are seriously over-reacting to that statement. Using this standard, NBA telecasts are loaded with stupid blanket statements. That is just the way it is.

Irrelevant. The reactions by Lowry and Bev were being compared. One guy showed remorse, the other did not.

Indeed, while competing, Lowry and Bev share the same "I will kill you" mentality. But that is not the issue under discussion.

Irrelevant. The two reactions in the different situations were being compared.

The circumstances are absolutely relevant. In Bev's case WB looked more annoyed than injured and not only stayed in the game, but proceeded to drop 20 pts in the second half. In Lowry's case (besides the added baggage of the injury history), WB absolutely looked injured and left immediately + did not return.

But you are right, I am probably reading too much into a silly comment. It just irks me that people are bringing Bev down to the level of true dirty SOB's like Bowen, ugh

You are an idiot if you need someone to paint the pic for you.... Obviously he puts more strain on his knee than other less athletic players, so yes the play had nothing to do with an athletic move, but his knee was probably weaker as a result of all his athletic plays... That's the point and a not so random conclusion to draw.....

from your post, I can infer that you are a bit pretentious and entitled, and probably frequently feel superior to others... Am I wrong? This is similar to how people on this board have inferred WB's style of play has taken a toll on his knee, that and experience...... But, they are probably wrong as well, as you have so obviously pointed out.

Gee, for you complaining about PB undercutting people. That's how he plays. Matador defense, persist. Love the way he plays. There is too much bro we all trying to make money nonsense in the sport these days. Lets get competitive. Guys like JVG love it. Scotty Brooks would grab PB to his roster for the stuff PB has shown. Are you kidding me in JVG's tone.

Although accidental, wish the Bev-Westbrook incident never happened.

Russell Westbrook injury has nothing to do with his style of play. It was a freak injury that could have happened to anyone.

Does Beverley do this often? I've never noticed.

    Funny

Durant now holds the MVP edge.

Except Roy, CP3, and Deron aren't ultra athletic. Westbrook held up fine for 10 years before the Bev incident.

Who brought Bowen up? I missed that. It's low class and foolish to compare Bev to someone like that.

I'm pretentious and entitled for bringing up a 100% completely valid point? Oh brother.

Now I'm an idiot. If you say so. I guess your not an idiot for making wild assumptions you have no clue about. OK.

I suggest keeping the discussion focused on WB.
