He did.. was already where cushy stuff underneath. It wasn't just an impact injury but the position it put the knee in. If you have bone or cartilige spurs they get pushed to a position where you are fine until your knee moves to an unnatural position due to forced range of motion. Sentiments re-enter the joint and cause all kinds of pain.... I have that very condition as we speak. I need a meniscus repair asp.
Some people on the comments board are still blaming Beverely for Westbrook's injury today. Im like " lolQue ?"
The Beverley vitriol was worse tonight because Lowry apologized and actually looked sad. Some idiot actually dubbed him the "anti-beverley" wtf does that even mean?
Easy to answer and it's not idiotic at all: It means he showed regret and remorse that he (possibly) injured WB. Beverly would have none of that.
It's Derrick Rose syndrome all over again. Or if you like, TMac syndrome. Just with their style of play, it is predicated 100% on athleticism and the ability to do things in the air that no other human can do. Contingent on that ability are a lot of awkward contortions of the body leading to back injuries and hard landings/planting of the feet leading to knee injuries. What can you do. Old man style basketball makes for better longevity. But Eurostepping all the time will give you diabetic-looking feet so there's that.
All i know is if we get melo our half court game(which we need improvement on) would be solid! Honestly everyone on CF overrates Chandler and says they wouldnt involve him in a sign & trade for carmelo? when u have a chance to acquire a PROVEN talent like that. You trade role players like parsons, without even thinking
You will be the 3rd person I've asked in this thread: The way WB's injury occurred was nothing at all like Rose's. It had nothing to do with his style of play. It had nothing to do with "athleticism...awkward contortions...hard landings/planting of the feet". So why does WB need to change his style of play to avoid injuries again? Seems like some have already made up their mind on something and are trying to contort the narrative to fit the preconceived idea.
What the hell... a 200+ pound player jumped into RB's knee and buckled it -- that could blow out anybody's knee... why all the blame toward RB?
Yup! Its a sad thing for them.. lol remember when people were saying "who was better?" kobe or tracy haha
I didn't think Bev really did anything that wrong on the initial injury. But that last game bothered me. Where Bev was being super aggressive with Westbrook and deliberately repeating the same play that injured his knee. It bothered me for multiple reasons. 1. Westbrook has never done anything to deserve such a career threatening injury in my opinion. He's not Ron Artest or anything. And that injury is going to shorten and lessen his career. Pretty much guaranteed. 2. Westbrook is obviously fragile. If Bev did actually reinjure his knee it would be the end of Bev's career and I guarantee you that other Rockets would get hurt in retaliations. So at the end of the day, better to handle it with class in the future.
