Russell Westbrook beats out James Harden for 2016-17 NBA MVP

You can't give it all to Rockets. And RW deserved this award, can't complain.

 

I didn't watch the show and only saw the highlights. And I didn't like at all that Drake seems to have made fun of Harden.
Everyone knew already that Westbrook was going to win since most of the vote results were revealed. Harden didn't have to be there and see someone else win over him. But he was there to support his teammates and coach and instead got ridiculed by a clown who has nothing to do with bball.

 

Havent seen any footage, but if ^ is correct re Drake, then that's low.
I personally couldn't see anyone other than Westbrook winning. The script was written when KD left and the trip doub sealed it. Congrats to him. But it must sting for Harden coming so close twice in the past 3 yrs, especially this season given his stats and the wins when compared.

even if that's true which I really doubt, it's not big deal. Otherwise there would be more than like 50 players attending.
If Harden didn't want to be there no fine could make him attend.

Good and anyone really surprised? MVP has always been a joke award. They rarely give it to the guy who truly deserves it. Look at the voters, it would've been odd actually if Harden had won

Kawahi gets credits for 7 games he did not play? Interesting. I remember Spurs were 7-1 when he didn't play.

 

I'm not upset Westbrook won. I thought Harden was clearly the better candidate until last 10 games-ish, then Westbrook elevated his game while Harden just continue doing what he was doing.
