Would *love* to see Rolen wearing the brick-n-sand. Even at his age and being half what he was, he's more than what we have. Plus, it'd be one of those "turn-on-a-dime" moments when one instantly moves from hating a player's guts to being a big fan. Would love to see Garland, too. Wanted Garland the last two offseasons. What do I *expect* to see, though? Nothing.
First of all, what did you guys expect out of Ortiz?!? If you got a few good starts (which you did till they messed with him about being a long reliever) that's what we could hope for (seems like you guys were expecting way too much from both Ortiz and Hampton). Also, remember he's coming off Tommy John surgery so he's probably out of gas since he hasn't played a full season in a while. I not making excuses but if you guys expected more than you probably smoking something....
Didn't expect shXt from Ortiz. Expected them to send him to pasture long ago. Ortiz seemed surprised though at his horrible performance. Throwing fits like a five year old.
