Such a weird notion that someone could actually be bothered by this. And yes Rush is one weird dude. I also find it weird that I run into people on a daily basis In public that listen to him.

At least I don't have to hang out with them on a social basis.

Radio ratings and add dollars are hard to come by with a narrow time frame of listeners and an even narrower range of genres or formats appealing to the audience. Whatever his views or opinions it's imperative that Rush take a controversial enough stance to attract callers during the day, and that it be on something low brow enough to be relatable to a large swath of viewers.

i agree that dalton had the look and i think daniel craig took a cue from him in the way he played bond...more moody and dark as opposed to the campy-ness of moore.

i have to say i liked both of the dalton movies. i would put both in the top half of the entire franchise while all the brosnan ones would rank among my worst. they dont even feel like bond movies to me.

Daniel Craig's James Bond is beloved and popular because

    1. He doesn't look perfect and his character was dark had a lot of flaws
    2. He has the gritty/masculine and not the clean cut/pretty boy look
    3. he looks like he will do ugly and dirty things to get the job done

I think the next bond should be able to pull those off

That proves my point, Lazenby was the only actor to only play Bond in only one movie before being replaced.

He left the franchise by choice. They wanted him back.

I agree bro. For some reason there is something about Fassbender that just screams Bond. Just watch the bar scenes in Inglorious Bastards and X-men First Class and tell me he wouldn't make a great Bond.

I love Idris also. Either of them would be great choices.

If Little Orphan Annie can be black so can James Bond.

Bond or not Idris Elba will always be Stringer Bell.

Yeah either would be great. Fassbender was great in Inglourious.

All characteristics of the Ian Fleming novels. Fleming described him as resembling Hoagy Carmichael:

And Fleming commissioned an artist to do a rendering of the character, which looked like this:

I like Elba, I think he has a good presence on the screen. Let him be the new Bond...I know the current Bonds have done well, but they've been a bit boring to me personally. I think he'd do well.
