Running a screen saver and having an active connection running?

    Is there a way to allow one's computer to download a large file and let the Screensaver run so the screen doesn't get image burn? Every time I step away from my Notebook while it''s d-loading, the screen saver pops up and the connection ends up reset.

    Are you on a dial-up? I used to have a program that would simulate you surfing the net, it was a way to trick the paid to surf programs... It was for www.alladvantage.com - the program was called MyAdvantage. I will see if I can find it...

    I leave downloads going all the time with my SETI screen saver - no problem. I am on cable though.

    I use dial up, but when I used SETI it wouldn't happen, but now with "Flying through space" it does
