The best smack talker in the league was Larry Bird. 'you can't have another white guy guard me' But Hakeem! he would talk smack with his eyes and those manly gestures that said 'you can't guard me young scalleywag' and then he would laugh like a King from Zimbawe who just sacrificed a pig. that smile and laugh and mocking shake of the head he abused his opponents with afterwards was the most superior form of smack talk ever formed. that had to hurt more than all the lip smack in the world.
Trash-talkin' is fine as long as it doesn't surpass your game, but I've gotta agree it has to hurt when a guy like Hakeem is just as polite as can be and then humiliates you with something like 42pts., 17 rebs, 4blks and a few asst for the heck of it (Somebody tell me D-Rob doesn't still have nightmares )

actually you probably have to put Tracy at #4 now. Jordan has retired (at least for now) and its gonna be hard for antoine walker to be a trash talker when he is on the hawks. So T-mac gets bumped up 2 spots behind payton,miller and garnett
