That would be a ton of fun! It's all about who you know that you could trust. considering I know people all over the country it would be a ton of fun to hide out and try to stay a couple steps ahead of everyone looking for me! Plus have people leaving false clues... that would be so cool.

Too bad I have too many responsibilities, nothing like making my ability to blend pay!

Either it's DISGUST or DISGUISE. Either way, FAIL. :p

Yeah so I'm thinking Tinas' style of dress and Dennis Rodmans' hair and makeup or vice versa.

Why can't you just hang out in a national park or something and hide from people?

If you want to hide, you have to cut ALL ties with people you know. You go be-bopping around to known cohorts, you won't last 2 weeks.

I think I would just go to some extremely rural town somewhere, knock on somebody's door, and offer them part of the winnings to let me stay.

It seems like Ratliff moved too much and risked being caught. If he would've stayed off of twitter with the fake name and stayed in any of the places he shacked up instead of moving around and trying to leave clues, I don't see how he would've gotten caught.

Yeah, the original guy made it a point to not hang out in a cabin somewhere for 30 days, completely isolated from the rest of the world. I'm sure there's something that says you can't do something like that for this contest.

I'm filling out the app. What should my 2 minute video be of? I assume a lot of people will just have themselves talking, I'm looking to be more creative.

That's just it... they aren't known cohorts to anyone but me. :)

How about a video of you walking your dog, with a hot dog balanced on your head?

See I would love to do these, and I even have the flexibility for this to happen. However, after reading what the masters of the internet did to find the Wired guy the first time around, I'm absolutely terrified of what they may find out about me.

Granted, having specific dietary needs where you can only eat at specific places certainly narrows down where one could be found (which is what happened to the Wired guy).

I just wouldn't want my personal information all over the internet like that. Plus I would genuinely worry about my family's personal internet security as well.

I would imagine the easiest way to locate someone would be by sending a cleverly disguised link to a trojan-like attack to a friend or family member who would be in contact with the "fugitive" which could then locate information. Though with the random ip software the Wired guy used, it may be a bit of a stretch.
