....this is also one of the more competitive years in recent memory - if you have a competitive team, you are likely relying more on guys with higher, more consistent floors even if it lowers your ceiling. Older players may not have quite the ceiling, but they generally don't beat themselves and if they lasted in the league that long they likely know how to play within a team concept which is also of value.

I think jalen wants to compete. Remember how he would bark at Cade in their matchups? I think he plays with plenty desire, especially when he has things going...

Not just Amen, but any player who has a positive impact on the court I believe has at least one fundamental advantage over Green:

They actually have a skill or skills they can depend on.

Jalen cant go into any game and say, i know i will be able to do "this" and have a big impact. Theres nothing he can bank on, on a nightly basis.

Amen has a few things you can count on him being able to do just about every time hes on the court.

    Thoughts out loud...

Its as though there is just one way Jalen likes to play.
And under Silas, he got some heavy doses of that.

But along comes Ime, and suddenly, Jalen is having a bad day.
And when the game matters, Ime has him sat.

I agree he doesn't have anything to rely on.

But, I don't think he wants it.

He would work and improve his game and body in the offseason.

It's all show with no substance...one on one show you up kinda deal...when he can.

Sadly, he IS NOT about the team.,,selfish and entitled...immature beyond words. JG is a child...still.

Green might eventually put it together, but not here....

The kid isn't capable at this point of contributing to what we're doing here. He hiurts us out there, AND is becoming a cancer.

Ship him to a rebuilding team where the offense is wide open, and he can freelance.

Our guys are working on playing both ends, with structure.

So stupid guys. The thing Jalen can do is get to the line and beat you in transition. We’re the ones who decided to pack the paint and slow down the pace to limit turnovers. Jalen turns it over 1 time less per game. In exchange we lose 2 FT’s and 2+ transition points. That’s a bad trade off.

Udoka is dumb at offense. Our ex GM Morey taught the league there is such a thing as a good TO. It’s the ones that otherwise result in very high efficiency points. Players who get to the line a lot and attack downhill are high TO guys even the ones who are great at it.

This board will have you believe getting a wide open 3pter for a Russell Westbrook is a good shot that we designed for ourselves. That’s the definition of a lazy offense taking whatever the opponents want to give up.

I agree but I am also conceptually happy that Green is having to learn to play the Udoka way. I do expect us to learn from this and get better on offense next year.

The post above is so full of **** his eyes are brown.

Other teams packed the paint because Sengun was beasting.

Jalen couldn't adjust well, though he has against poor defensive teams.

Mathdoom has his head so far up Jalen's ass he can see his Uvula!

Interesting that you could observe all of that from KPJ's small intestine.

Great news if true. It means all we need is a coaching change to tap into further upside.

The 6th man request is absurd. No rookie has proven to be more valuable.
