Yeah but he said it wasn't a big name player and that it was a questionable test, so I think it more of the same type of players that were caught before Raffy Roids, no-bodys.

Just thinking out loud regarding "big name" players.......

    How about Miguel Tejada?

I hope not, he's on my fantasy team as well. He hasn't produced much lately.

i would have to say giambi....that dude looks huge again. while i think he'd learn his lesson i think his crappy hitting without the roids may have pushed him back to using them.

Sheff would look like more of an idiot than Palmero if he tested positive. He was on Quite Frankly last night saying that he feels anyone that tests positive for roids should be suspended a full year at minimum.

I think Tejada is a good bet. He was on the A's and the Orioles. He got big and had potential contacts in the doping field. But not sure he is bigger than Palmeiro. Which is what makes this tricky. I think you have too look at the guys who look super confident at the plate, who have HOF credentials, and have diversity. Derrick Lee and Carlos Lee are not big to me. Pujols, Rodriquez, Ramirez, and Beltran are the possible names that surface to me. The trade eliminates Ramirez. No way he gets traded on dope. If I had to bet now, it Would be Pujols or Beltran. New York would have leaked already. So I'd go with Pujols.

What do you guys think is taking so long for them to announce who it is if there is someone that did test positive? Are they going through an appeal process or something now?

As for Pitchers. I'd pick Livan Hernandez. He went off the deep end a few weeks ago. Not a big name. But definately was acting suspicious.

Keep in mind that you don't necissailary have to be "bigger" when taking steroids. The roid that Palmerio got caught taking was stanazolol which is also known as winstrol. It more of a steroid for quick twitching type muscle fibers, doesn't make you really bulky or bloated, just stronger and quicker.

Could be bonds, didn't they say they were still testing everyone even if they weren't playing this year due to injuries, etc...? Could be bonds, sosa, gonzo, sheffield, giambi, clemens, ensberg.... who knows. I wouldn't put it past anyone in MLB at this point.

I loved it when Rome always compared him to Andrew Jackson.

Didn't that happen to Daryl Strawberry after drinking that concoction Burns gave him?

I just hope it's not a Yankee, we have enough problems. Actually, I wouldn't mind if it was Flaherty, at least it would keep him from hitting for 10 games.

Yes and no. The fast twitch muscle fibers, type II, are phenotypically large and bulky relative to the type I's (slow twitch). Think of leg muscles on sprinters versus marathon runners.

Taking a 'fast twitch' steroid would lead to a bulkier physique. What it wouldn't do that some other general steroids would is lead to an over-sized watermelon for a head.
