From what Ive read Oubre is looking to get P-A-I-D. My understanding is he is still at home because everybody kicking the FA tires heard what kind of deal he wanted and immediately looked at other options. I'd be thrilled to get rid of EG, but not if we replace him with an overpriced diva with an dangerously oversized sense of self-importance. Oubre would fit with the fast-break emphasis with Green and Christopher - maybe a small ball 4, but if he thinks he's worth $.01 more than what EG is making, or if he wants a much longer deal, no thanks. Rather play out the string with EG than make a trade up for a nicer brand of boat anchor to drag the roster down.
I couldn’t see the Warriors S&T Oubre for a salary that large, it would be absolutely insane tax money, like Gordon at 2/38 would cost them like 100 mill right?
I knew this was going to be a "how about ____ for ______" trade but (please don't be bogus, please don't be bogus) I clicked anyway. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me forty-three times, shame on me. Rebuilding team, no place for EGO, and I'm sure he wouldn't argue.
I would have liked Oubre 2 years ago, not now. I'd rather develop what we have and turn water into wine.
Oubre is a chucker. Do not want. He might be a worse defender than Kevin Porter Jr - think about that for a minute. Horrible shooting splits. Does not pass the ball. Just cashing checks. Thanks but no thanks.
IF we could ultimately move EG for a 1st rounder then thats obviously the path to take. But Im getting skeptical that there will be any hope of that. As long as Oubre wasn't on anything longer than a 3 year deal I wouldnt hate it. We are going to be bad for the next 3 years or so anyway, and If we can just keep the cap space open for that final year of those rookie deals then that is the goal to try to add a big name with our developed star rookie(s) a few years down the line. If he can rehab his career to more of his Phoenix form then that would be a more tradeable asset in a year or two. If not, well then he just helps us suck and get better draft picks while our true future stars develop.
wtf is this guy? Why should we believe him? :Edit: After scrolling through his Twitter I am not inclined to believe anything he says. Fake news breaker.
Too expensive to replace sterling brown... You want to pay 15+ million on a long term deal for your 4th guard?
Just trade Gordon for Jonathan Isaac. Throw in a protected pick. They get a healthy player. We get potential upside.
I would feel sick to my stomach if we just up and handed those ****bags in Golden State the Pi Mamba for nothing other than a scrubby Kelly Oubre. There better be picks coming back to us on this if it's a real trade being discussed.
Remember if we acquire a player via S&T, it has to be for a minimum of 3 years. First year has to be guaranteed, but you can options on the other years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sign-and-trade_deal
Didn't he have issues with not getting playing time or something with the Warriors? It cracks me up that every time somebody posts a tweet from that account, this question is asked.
