Let's me put this into a 5 year old language: It is reported by Sina Tmac said something (of course in English). Sina translated into Chinese and published in Chinese using the word " 孤立”。 The OP of this thread translated this stupid word 孤立 back into English with iso-ed. Why in the hell he or she wanted to use iso-ed instead of isolated is beyond me, and you need ask the OP for this. However, this has nothing to do with Tmac and Sina. Got it?!
This is funny... everybody remember when ISO was something we used to get pissed off at Rudy for and for Steve and Cat doing on every play? Somehow now ISO means "we're gonna ostracize you!!!" Why can't ISO mean we're going to get you in an ISO and get you the ball? Hell TMac's been trying to say Yao's the man for so long, that was the first thing that popped into my mind. But I'll let you folks who have far more knowledge than the rest of us run with this... I have no idea what was said, if it was transcribed correctly, or what was meant by it if it was even said. I'm sensing this year's witch hunt will begin with TMac, though. This may be even more of a comical year than last year's JVG hunt that people still haven't given up on and about killed the board. Love the continuation of kooky threads though!
Yeah, what DoD said. What's wrong with iso-ing Yao? That's exactly what we need! We won 2 rings isolating Hakeem, and I don't remember the Nigerian newspapers getting all up in a huff about it.
How many Rockets' players have deal with the Chinese Shoes Company? I think T-mac will be the one get isolated by his teammates not Yao. Regardless, if this story was true, T-mac basically indirectly asking the team to trade him. T-mac for Okafor and Gerald Wallace. Does the salary match?
That trade would be awesome! I've always loved gerald wallace and okafor alongside yao would be awesome! I can't stop laughing at the thought of (this may sound racist, but no intention) a black man yelling "You will be iso'ed by us!" It just cracks me up.
I don't know if anyone has correctly translated it in the previous pages, but what actually happened was. After that last win, I think detroit, Yao and TMac go into the locker room. Before going in, TMac points to Yao and says "you'll be singled out by us." I don't exactly know what the verb is because something was lost in translation from English to Chinese in the first place. But the context is. TMac is mad at Yao for blabbing to the media. That you aren't supposed to throw your teammates under the bus by calling them soft. This I can understand. So maybe that's why there's locker room friction right now.
honesty !YAO said to the media too much but why he say this the team played so bad ! if we still play like this ,what will happen? the team will become softest, any one can beat them,
Honestly, who's going to single him out? Ya think Shane or Steve are gonna single him out? He's boys with Kirk Snyder. Scola isn't gonna do something like that. Really, the only guys I could see giving him the cold shoulder or whatever is McGrady, Bonzi and Mike James. Whoop-tee-do.
wtf? did Yao even say anything after/during the WIN against Detroit??? he didn't even get a chance to do that! and Tmac did the post-game interview and he was all happy and laughing, so are you suggesting that Yao waited for him in the tunnel, and Tmac sprinted after him and then pointed at him and said: are you guys even thinking before acknowledging a r****ded rumor like this one??
The reason this is so hard to believe is because it was a national tv game (ESPN) and apparently happened right after the game. You would think someone from ESPN, FSN, or the Chron would have been around and heard or filmed it. And of course if they did hear it, it would have made national news. Why would someone from Sina be the only person around to hear it. Also, Yao made the soft comments after the Phi game. Then there was a couple days before the Detroit game. You would think if Tmac was pissed about those comments he would have said something to Yao at practice or before the game. Why wait till after a win to then blow up. Makes no sense.
The Detroit game was all about the missed free-throws. Yao was upset with the teams bad night at the line, and threatened to call everyone to the line for extra practice. Hey, it sounds about 1% believeable, why not run with that? (I made it all up, people...) <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/bGLuO72PDaY&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/bGLuO72PDaY&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Ok I can't read Chinese but after reading everyone's posts, this is what I believe went down. TMAC probably said JOKINGLY to Yao: We're gonna talk about you to the media like how you talked about us. Meaning everyone will talk about Yao. Missed FTs? Isolate him. Everyone on the team probably heard it, including Yao but no one took it as a threat because they know it's a joke. Now someone on the outside might take it literally.
As you can see the article was written entirely in Chinese, like someone pointed out, it's the thread starter who made that translation. Could be "You will be alienated (by us)", could be "You will be shut out (by us)".
New Rumor! Francis calls out T-Mac in practice and says, "You are on the Clock" James calls out Francis and says, "Where'd you get yo Hood Stamp?" Brooks to Adelman,"please help me, V-Card is still in full effect" Alston to T-Mac, "page me just like mammy" Landry, "My Badonkadonk is glued" Battier not knowing Ebonics calls out Alston, "You just can't shoot bro"
This thread is as BS as BS gets. Now if we could only start winning some ball games, all these garbage would go away. The wonders that winning brings...
