Yeah man, McGrady once in a while gets hood in his talk. He said to Yao about his weak game "You an eyeso' to us!" and the chinese misheard it. We complain about Yao getting blocked by the rim hurting our eyes, too
I tend to believe the more recent stories of tension between Yao and T-Mac, but I still don't believe this. Why would McGrady even say "You will be isolated by us?" It doesn't make sense for him to say something like that. McGrady has his faults, but he isn't a vindictive b*stard. What does make sense is him telling Yao, "Come on, Yao! You've got to dunk that! You're 7'6 man. Take it strong. Let's go Yao, you gotta be stronger than that! etc. etc." That fits into McGrady's character. And Yao expressing some frustration or anger and/or annoyance at T-Mac acting like he's still the Main Guy is totally understandable as well.
can we at least agree that this "quote" is probably not a "quote" at all? at BEST, it may have been a paraphrase. all I'm saying DaDa, is that no naturally english speaking person would utter that quote. if you really can imagine a non-esl person saying that, ok. we'll just agree to disagree. at this point, you'll believe anything negative about him. is objectivity a DaDa impossibility? I hope not, because there are times when your insight is keen, thought-provoking, and rational. your t-salem witch hunt is a bit overboard, imho. peace...and save the seals. ;-)

Even more plausible, he tells Yao that he plans on ISO'ing him more; as in, the Rockets will spread the court and give him some more post up opportunities. Perhaps Yao was frustrated with lack of touches, and T-Mac said that the team will emphasize it more. That would actually make sense, since McGrady has publicly acknowledged that the Rockets should focus more on getting Yao the ball. Everyone loves Yao. McGrady would be foolish to think he could "isolate" him in the way you interpret it.

Did anyone see or remember Twack when he went after Wafer in the OKC game, pointing and yelling at him after a timeout was called? Then for some reason then there's a "rumor" like this about Twack! This guy looks like a complete A-hole right now to be honest.
I'm as upset with Tmac as anyone else on this board, but our frustration with him has led to out-of-control speculation. I don't think it's a big deal that Tmac was getting after Wafer. Kobe does that all the time with all his teammates. What if instead, Tmac didn't say anything to Wafer? Then we'd have comments that Tmac "isn't a good leader", "doesn't care about the team", or whatnot. Our irrational perception of T-mac is completed one-sided now. And about Yao, Tmac has NEVER shown any indication previously that he has a poor relationship with Yao. Maybe Iso= isolation play = dump to the lowpost and clear out for 1 on 1 action. Like Rudy T did for Steve and Cat before the rule changes. I don't recall that game, but maybe T-mac saw something and told Yao that they were gonna run plays for him in the second half?
Edit When I refer to Iso with Steve and Cat, I mean giving them the ball and clearing out so they can take thier man 1 on 1. Not necessarily dumping it into the post.
