What the fvkking rumor this is. Yao openly denied it. Use your head before posting any **** next time please.
Do not trust any news from sina.com. if the law allows,it will announce to the whole world Usama Bin Laden is caught by his journalist。
this is just a rumor which had been told u guys. i was wondering how people from sina get those words even us media didn't mention. maybe that's what they are good at.
it has been confirmed to be untrue news. most of them try to attract people's attention through this kind of irresponsible news.
is it a oeilpere type cryptic message from TMac maybe Rudy is coming back and re-introducing the ISO offense
I've been avoiding this site, because of the slow start. I'm not one to WANT to read complaining and all that... I just read, pretty much, the entire thread. I have to admit this whole thing is rather humorous. I hadn't heard of this "issue" prior to today. And in reading most of the thread, I noticed that nobody I saw had my first reaction to the whole thing... A tunnel full of reporters and the "news" report comes from where? If it was even remotely considered dissent, don't you think we would have heard about it from one of the many media outlets that were there. Wasn't that game shown by Fox Sports and ESPN? Something like that would have been a talking point on every ESPN show. Someone somewhere would have dusted off the "Houston, we have a problem" quote in a heartbeat. My guess is it's lost in translation. And my translation of a translation of a translation is.... We are going to ISO you.
Seems this rumor gets more and more attention. In tonight's CCTV sports center ( a sports news program broadcasted 21:30 Beijing time every night ), this rumor was mentioned and reporters actually brought it to Yao and TMac. Below is what I captured from the TV. Wording may not be right coz English is not my native language ( obviously ). Yao ( answered in Chinese ): when things goes bad, all kinds of rumors will come up. And the rumors will of course be more on the bad side. Right now what our team needs most is to be united. We have to work together to past this difficult time. TMac: bball is a team sport. You can not say it's a one-man's team. One can not do it alone. I couldn't hear TMac's voice clearly coz it's tuned down, and CCTV showed the caption of what he said in Chinese. So the 'quote' above was translated from the caption. Sorry I've tried my best to be accurate.
If the above are all the words said by Yao and McGrady, I would like to point out the following: 1. Yao did not directly label that specific piece as a "lie", or something to that effect, though he might imply that. 2. McGrady's words can be interpreted both ways.
OK, got more information from CCTV. Sorry it's in Chinese ( pryuan pls? ). Basically saying Yao said he has good relationship with TMac. And what Tmac said which caused the mis-understanding was -- TMac said to Yao it's been a long time since he went for strenghth training. And Yao answered he was just gonna do it. But CCTV reporters have their doubts if Yao and TMac are just trying to cover the problem. And the article also said one of the commendators was also not that happy about TMac smiling when losing to Dallas. It's not Sina.
Look... these SINA articles are always whacked out, we seldom even know if the translation we get matches what THEY posted, let alone if THAT matches what was actually said... and then there is just the SINA credibility factor which has been pointed out in numerous ways. This thread should have been recalled, due to "led" content... as in "Why are we led to believe the crap that gets recycled through two translations and a big batch of hearsay, we should all know better." I can see Tmac saying a lot of things... but "you will be Iso'd" has to be last on the list. Perhaps "Good game, man, but keep talking like you did about your team like that to the media and you'll find yourself with no friends around here"... but Iso'd? come on. 'All your base are belong to us' rhetoric is always funny, but here it is just completely relative. And the Bush picture saying it? Scary, it sounds like something he'd actually say.
There was, by the way, a "sighting" of Adelman at practice warning Yao against all this disloyal talk of "defense." I found the following picture proving it happened on sina.com.
A great post. One of the best on this matter. Personally, I think Chinese media, including CCTV and Sina, should learn from their American counterpart and report something "politically correct." They dig deep into this matter for what? For the truth? But truth hurts! Since both Yao and McGrady avoided answering that question directly, I think CCTV should not have followed it up. No matter what has happened, just put it behind and look forward. The Championship is only 80+ games away from us. That's real, not a carrot.
Who made up the "iso-ed by us" lie? It is not CCTV. It is the nasty SINA! It seems that SINA reporters do dig in here. It is so disgusting.
There is no truth in the lie. It's just a simple lie. CCTV, like SINA, wants to report crazy things to get attention (which is so weird since CCTV dominates), but CCTV doesn't go that far to make up rumors/lies or report(or "predict") the game result before it is over. CCTV just plays innocent and does the follow-up. CCTV is not good, but SINA is just nasty. Why does SINA hate yao so much? just because Yao selected SOHU.com as his official web site host?
