I think thats a question you will have to ask Microcenter.

No. The warranties are seperate from each other. If your Xbox breaks, I would take it to MicroCenter and have them replace it with a new one. Your new unit should have the extended three year warranty, if it applies.

The Wii and the DS, although fun at times, feel like kiddie games to me at times. More so the DS, but the wii still feels kind of noveltyish to me..

Especially when all their hip E3 stuff consisted of games requiring new controllers such as the racing wheel doo-hicky. I have a Wii along with Wii Sports and Wii Play. Never bought anything else. Mario 3 is the only thing in my future...

Yeah, it is just as capable as the premium (component, no HDMI though). I think you'll have to get the component cables elsewhere though (from your other 360 or whatever). It is basically the premium SKU without the HDD, HD cables, a headset, and a wireless controller IIRC.

There are rumors that the core will be discontinued though (either by Microsoft or by some retailers).

edit: I was assuming that HD = high-definition. If you meant hard drive, refer to DaDakota's post.

Yep, you just need to buy the HDD and snap it in.

get the premium. i got the core along time ago and it was a pain to buy all the accessories.

i think all the new premiums come with HDMI now.

They do, but no one will notice the difference between that and component.

Where did you guys hear that the premiums have HDMI? It is included in the new Halo SKU, but the regular premiums still don't have HDMI AFAIK.

    Unless I missed something...

Every now and then we visit the lake house and i hate unhooking my 360 everytime...it's hard to get behind the tv. i figured i should just roll with a xbox core system and leave it up there...
