Maby it 's a low risk, but it 's Houston should try it! I like the sound of Banks and Wright/Ely also ... wait and see! Dude, I can 't wait for more trades and FA signing!

He'd be a solid backup, simply because he brings different assets to the table. Spanoulis seems more athletic and has more length and ability to drive, whereas Rafer is more team-oriented and pass-happy. They should complement each other well.

lets just get him in here and see what he can offer.

plus the longer we wait the more he might cost, or we may miss out altogether should someone else step in.

who knows he might be the next Ginobli, of course he's even half that he'll help us.

I like his footwork. It's not blazingly fast but it's deceptive which is how nash's footwork is. He'll make you think he's going one way but he'll go another.

Of course that's just from the youtube video i'm seeing and we all know highlight videos can make anyone look like the 2nd coming of Jordan.

Spanoulis could be a PG or a combo guard. It's tough to say until he gets over here. It's been a year and I'm not sure if managment is 100% on whether Luther can play some point or if he needs to be a Bobby Jackson/Leardo Barbosa-type combo guard. My personal guess is that Spanoulis will be better as a combo guard. Few foreign points (outside of Tony Parker) have been successful in the NBA at running the offense (Marko Jaric, Beno Udrih, Sarunas Jasakivicis, etc).

I like this signing.....Looking at the video, it seems like he needs some work but he defintily is worth taking the risk...he can be a manu ginobili typle player for us but I dont' think he has the same shot as Manu....anyways, I still like the signing...now if we can just get banks...

But if I am V-Span, why would I want to come here to sit on the bench when I still have some unfinished business in Greece?

    1) he won't sit on the bench

    2) 6 million reasons

    3) it's the NBA

I don't think he will start over Alston. This means he at most play 20min max per night. Not sure if that's enough for him.

But if he wins a Championship in Greece and elevated his statue, we might just be able to start him over Alston.

I am also sure he won't get paid 6mil a yr here.

Finally, NBA is not that big a draw if you make similar money back home.
