I hope he accepts, 6mil over 3 years? sounds low risk to me.

What could the remaining 3mil or so left in the MLE get us?
Marcus Banks, Lorenzen Wright? - probably not but I can hope
    Maybe Melvin Ely

I doubt we still need him if we bring V-Span here. Perhaps we'll use the other part of MLE on a big guy like Melvin Ely. If we have Battier/Ely/Hayes at PF position, we could trade Juwon for some expiring contract, maybe.

Well its a low rish proposition at best. V-Span would be a little foolish not to take the offer as these kind of things don't land in your lap very often. And if his NBA career doesn't pan out he can always take his $6m back to Europe and play for Greece again.

I do believe his shot needs some work but also like how aggressive he is at taking the ball to the basket. That alone will get you playing time in todays NBA with the back court rule changes. He could average 20pts per game just from the line...LOL He also seems to have a bit of an attitude on the court which this team desperately needs.

Although being Greek he will give new meaning to the back door play..<rimshot>

FOX26 is just the local Fox channel here in Houston.

http://www.fox26.com/ (why can't they get a real web site?)

If Berman (guy on the left) says it you can pretty much say it's a done deal.

Well if he signs the problem will be that he is going to take a bit of the MLE money so that is not good news. But i am glad the rockets are trying to sign him now and im glad they worked him out in europe that was great. He will be expierineced coming into the NBA. Hopefully he will bring his A game to the rockets. If V-Span signs with rockets good adding of depth. The Houston rockets don't have much debth now and thats not good. Trying to get depth will help alot and hopefully he signs. i rmr seeing some footage of him and i will try to get those footage. If anyone wants it.

VSpan is a cool nickname, but I think we should go with KillBill if that's what he's going by in Greece.

    1. 192cm is not 6-3, it's 6-3 7/12

    2. He's not 192 cm, he's 193 cm

    http://www.paobc.gr/en/player.asp?type=p&year_id=56&player_id=95

    3. 193 cm = 6-4

    4. In Europe they list players by height without shoes on.

    5. spanoulis is about 6-5 in shoes then

    6. He's 6-5 200, basically the same size as Bobby Sura.

Assume the Howard for Mihm+McKie goes thru and we sign Novak:

    Yao/Mihm/Mutombo
    Battier/Hayes/Novak
    T-Mac/Bowen
    Snyder/Head/McKie (IR)
    Alston/V-Span/Sura (IR)

Only 1 IR spot left!

    YES IT WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He said "I thought he was about 6-5" and said "he's only 6-3"

That post implied Spanoulis who is about the same height as Jon Barry and Bob Sura, was only about the same height as Luther head.

We already had a Very long thread on this board because many people THOUGHT

JJ Redick was 6-2 or 6-3 even though he was 6-5.

YES it is a big deal that people should know Spanoulis is Sura size not Luther size.

    GOT IT????????????????????????

You can't be serious, the NBA is a joke when it comes to calling travelling violations and other basic basketball rules. Anyway in fiba rules you have to bring the ball down before or at the same time as your first step unlike NBA basketball where players seem to have a huge first step just because they don't have to bring the ball down.
