we know, he should be traded for one of your favorite players...an opinion that you have let us all know frequently. That's how you have managed to increase your post per day average from 10 posts per day to 13 in about a year, which, given your 10 year history here, is a herculean feat.
Miami or NY? Who would we even want from those two teams? There's no point on taking another expiring contract from Marion, who is possibly a worse fit for this team than Artest.
Moving behind the genius screen, I am curious exactly how Ron - Ron does not fit? To me, the seminal talent of MsMac is the misfit. My mensa quotient is deficient, of course, certainly in comparison, but just how is Mr A a Rocket F? If a trade were to be effected, considering Shane's character and contract v Artest's character and contract which player would fetch a better return? Would either, in concert with Rafe = Nash. Think Kerr; think DM the GM. What do you think?
I don't care if he brings a favorite player, just one that helps the team better. You know I want a new PG. So I would target. Hinrich A. Miller And if we keep him try to do a sign and trade with Artest this summer and pick up Bibby. Too many wings....you have to give Morey credit he has built this team's roster very well, not perfect, but very well. Now it is time to tweak it to get it...just right..... Ball stopper, and we only have one ball.... Got to go catch a flight, you guys have fun with this....maybe he goes, or maybe he doesn't......but I hope Wafer stays in the rotation, he has earned it. DD
I don't know. Probably would include Dorell Wright and Joel Anthony. Then they could move Marion for their center (O'Neal).
If we are going to trade anybody noteworthy, that trade should include Shane Battier. Last night, he really smelled up the court at both ends -- which has been typical. He is noted for taking charges, but few ever total his equal or greater number of blocking fouls, which generally result in two plus the foul. I trust Morey is smart enough to keep Artest and trade Battier and Luther for a point guard who can start and finish transition basketball. Rafer is on a hot streak right now, but it's only a matter of time before he gets as cold as Pluto in winter. On the other hand, Aaron Brooks has to heat up again -- someday, although he will never grow another six inches.
Safe travels, but first: You would expect a new PG would require an excising of the old one, yes? Rafe would have to exit in the deal, or a concurrent one. Wafe is rotation worthy based on the meritocracy (sic) concept. I drink the Wafer kool-aid, but I tremble at the thought that in his 2nd or 3rd time around the Association his deficiencies will be exposed in the glaring light of uh, exposure. may it not be so.
I am sorry to be the one who break it to you, but you must be an absolute idiot at NBA players movement for saying this. There's a thing called cap relieve that team sough after when moving players, get it?
We arent trading him for Bobby Jackson. So no, we wont have the same team cuz if we trade him, we add the player we traded him for. I would take Marion for him if somehow we could get the salaries to match. Gonna be hard to do though.
I can see this actually, but more so with Brooks involved instead of Rafer. If I remember correctly the Suns really liked Brooks coming out of college and we got him just ahead of the Suns. They have some quality at the PG position on the bench and lets face it - they need to mix it up if they want to contend this year. How about: Nash for Artest, Brooks, and filler.
I doubt it. This team has yet to all get a chance together on the court. There's no reason to trade him at this point.
As far as we know, wafer might be flip murray or the fuy in golden state, morrow who put up major numbers in a short frame. Wafer is a good young player, but you don't risk your playoff success on basically a rookie. Artest has shown he can take over games. The rox are going to need that in the playoffs. The guy they should be moving is #31 who is sucking popcorn balls. How do u score the opening basket then do nothing?
why would that be sweet? nash is on the downside of his career and hasn't played nearly as well with a "dominant" big man. i'm not against seeing what we can get for artest since it just makes good business sense (as does seeing what you could get for any expendable player, i.e. everyone but yao ming), but people are acting like we're out of the playoff picture when in reality we're 11 games over .500 without having a fully healthy squad all year long.
Don't trade Ron! Ron plays big, he takes over down the strech or when the team needs a lift. He's tough and don't back down and makes this team tougher. I could handle trading Shane, Head and especially Tracy. To keep Tracy and part with Ron, is like saying I want this team to be as soft as a babys bottom. What the hell? This make "no sense", and I don't beleive it will go down like that. The only reason Morey would trade Ron is if we won't be able to sign him. I'd keep him anyways, as a hired gun for the playoffs. We know we can't depend on Tracy. I'd throw a bucket load of cash at Artest.
Checked on realgm and this trade works, but I'm sure I could come up with a few different combos to make saliries work. Nash for Artest, Head, Brooks, and Dorsey Plus Nash does not have a long contract and would still keep us in the 2010 sweepstakes. Would you do it? If you believe in Wafer then we still have firepower off the bench in Landry, Wafer, Alston, and to an extent Barry.
