Never have I mentioned the rockets are unhappy with him. learn to read. Don't forget that Wafer has also won at least two game for us with two late daggers.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not for a trade to get rid of Artest because of Wafer's emergence. But I am saying we have the depth to withstand the loss of Artest and if Artest can net us someone like Hinrich or Steve Blake + a pick, then maybe Morey would do it.

I think, like previous post (back on the first page), that it's just to see what you can get. Heck, I think everybody is on the block, as a GM you want to see what you can get doesn't mean you'll DO anything. But if your willing to overpay for a player then let's talk, which is what I think this whole Ron trade rumor is about.

Sounds like a BS to me, hopefully they both (he and T-Mac) can come back really strong and help this team.

Glad to hear it, we need to upgrade other positions, especially if we are not intending to sign him this offseason.

Too many wings, not enough PGs and/or athletic bigs.

Got to use your assets wisely to make the team incrementally better.

I am not surprised, great minds think alike.

If anything this is probably a ploy by Morey to get Ron Ron and his agent to agree to some sort of ball park figure now for re-signing him next season. The only way I would trade him is if they got a heck of a player or two in return. I still think that once he gets healthy and used to the rockets system he is a top 20 player in the league. Easily.

It's definately a BS. Tell me a team out there that would want Artest plus be to able have him focused? I would think it got to be a contender team, which then it wouldn't make sense for them to get artest with questionable health and on/off court issue. non-contender team would be hellvck.

Don't forget we got artest for cheap due to his commitment to alderman.

I am sensing that they make a mistake, Rockets is shopping Tmac and not Artest. Artest is just a one year rental to us if he doesn't work. We knew he would be at least worth this year, besides he hasn't give us any problem yet.
All the focus and talks were on Tmac, so i am thinking this is an distraction while something is being work out in the background.

IF Lance nailed this well connected source - rumor then it would be his first correct Rocket or NBA or basketball take e*v*e*r.

His only source-to-date appears to be his (sainted) dad (and, yes, dads are sainted souls).

Ron - Ron might be traded (so, too, anyone not named Yao) but, if so, just remember coincidences do occur.

BS, Ron imo is the only semi-clutch player we got. Shane needs to go before him, though his trade value is probably almost nothing.

Shane shot poorly last nite; he would still be in strong demand if shopped. Do not underestimate that man's value.

It also makes sense to trade Ron to clear playing time for Wafer when everyone is healthy.

If Wafer is truly emerging, then it would be better to keep him happy and playing.

It just looks to me like Ron is the odd man out.

If I had the time, and search function wouldn't crash retrieving all of your posts on the subject, it would be really fun to do a DaDakota v. DaDakota series of posts in this area.

But, I have to grudgingly admit, you have really taken it to the next level. By espousing all possible positions, nobody will ever be able to prove you wrong. A work of almost savant-like genius.

I have been saying Ron should be traded forever, and that he doesn't fit.

    But genius, now that fits.

    ;)

And whenever you do the DD searches, you are the King of taking things out of context. I salute your evil genius sir !

To all guys calling BS on the report... Here is a post from Clutch not too long ago in the "Guess the next trade" thread...

So either there is some fire behind all the smoke or maybe that post is the source. Either way, you can't dismiss it. Last times you guys dismissed something Juwan Howard missed the rest of the year with heart issues...
