At this point getting to the 2nd round would be a success to me... I would be very surprised if they trade him.. he may not be here next year but at least keep him the remainder of this year and give us a chance to make a long playoff run
The more I think about it I do now think Ron will get traded....Morey probably wants to see and give it half a season (til the allstar break) to see if he really fits with this team...If he doesn't I don't think Morey will be willing to accept he traded for Ron and got nothing in return by him leaving next season....therefore he will explore a trade and redeem himself instead of ending up with nothing....plus the rockets are in the thick of the playoff right now and no way we just fold this season for the future...we are going for the championship this year and even tho things dont look good right now it can all turn around so easily Ron Artest is our trade chip....not Tmac..no way the rocks trade Mac when we would be selling at his lowest rate ever....Tmac is impt to the success of this team....Im not counting Tmac out..not yet...look at Dwade when everyone was saying that his injuries shortened his career and was in decline...Look at Shaq, everyone thought he was done and was clearly in his decline but he got healthy and has rejuvenated his career this year and seems to have strides of his old self...for that reason I wouldnt trade Tmac... My rockets wish list.... 1.Nash 2.Rip 3.Richard Jefferson 4.Bibby Ron artest will never be traded to Detroit but I would love to have Rip Mike Bibby or Nash would significantly improve this team THIS year....

if you saw the NY game, you had to be encouraged. tracy drove into the paint moreso than i can count all season. he's def. moving better than before the rest. and he lost 8 lbs. with more confidence as he plays more games (knowing what he can do still), he'll play better.

I agree...No way I trade Tmac for Bibby....Its not even comparable of what they mean to each team... I get frustrated with Tmac as well at times but we have all witnessed his talent for so many years I dont believe that a guy can regress that much in one year when he was at an all star level just last year and was a dominate all star player in the playoffs...he played hard last year during our streak brought his game to the playoffs playign injured and now is suffering cause of it. I wont give up on Mac just my opinion...he has many faults but talent is not one of them
