i don't think they're "me" players b/c they want the stats and be selfish. i think tracy and artest are beyond that. i think last night, it was a b2b, they felt obligated to take over and finish the game. with more practice time (and tracy and artest haven't practiced much with the team at all this year b/c of their conditions), we'll be fine. it's really stupid to judge them after one poor game when our offense was blazing the game before. it's INCONSISTENT. and you don't get the consistency without practice. give them time. sometimes you guys are just so impulsive. eventually tracy will get better and play the offense b/c he can. eventually we'll find a role for artest where he can do his thing without hurting them team.
I agree with you but it is not just one game, it has been a recurring problem all season long. Here is a list of games where similar things have happened that resulted in a loss. 11/14 Spurs game - without Manu and Tpark - 11/26 Pacers 12/8 Grizzlies 12/13 Clippers 12/29 Wizards 1/2 Raptors 1/6 76ers 1/26 Knicks The problems went away for the most part when Ron and Tracy sat down, the team gelled, played harder and won a good majority of their games, in fact they almost beat the Lakers except for Kobe and that dagger of a 3ball. Tmac_1, this is not one game we are talking about, this is a SEASON long problem. I think people get caught up in thinking that the reactions are coming after one game, when in reality it is just building up game after game.... Ignoriing a problem won't make it go away... DD
I say we just dismantle this Rockets team... I mean that seems to be what we want the way this thread is flowin. But I do agree with the team listening to offers on T Lady and Ron. Which is more than likely what they are doing. I haven't liked the way McGrady has been playing even before his surgeries. The reason we lose to the Jazz every year and scrub teams in the reg. season is cause he is always tryin to be a hero and jack up fad away jumpers from 30 ft. and sh**. I still don't think he has come to grips with the reality that he isn't as good as he used to be. He's lost a step and he is left with size and his jumper to get points. I think Ron is just following T's lead, he wants to be the one. The one to take that final game winning shot. This makes me really believe that there is more going on in the locker room than we know... as far as egos go.
Yeah but this is after one game that Tmac claims that he's back. So that list should start over beginning with the knicks. Its like a New Years resolution, clean slate Seriously though, I cant speak for Ron but I havent seen this rejuvenated Tmac that sent a message to the haters saying it was a mistake to jump off the bandwagon. Maybe I'm just overreacting since its only been two games since his return. I love the guy's talent but I'm getting tired of the drama and excuses.
Who cares what he says. When something happens, it'll happen. This is no time to play a game of riddles.
I dont think its time to hit the panic button yet, but I think that there probably is concern about Artest both fitting in with this team, and also, if he is gonna jump ship and resign somewhere else in the off-season. I think time will tell, and I doubt any deal for Artest would be made unless it brings us another expiring contract, or substancial talent in return.
If Miami did that then I would be convinced that Pat Riley's brain had been transplanted with Isiah Thomas' brain.
I almost wonder if Clutch told him to keep anything he knows on the down-low. Doc has been reeeeeal quiet lately.
Charles knew what he was talking about when he said "ballstopper" last year. I think half of the board was crying over that comment too....
Why does everyone want to trade away our best play maker on the team lol. Its funny and the trades that some people come up with are just crazy. Barbosa is just plain ol horrible
It's amazing how often I find myself disagreeing with you. In my opinion it's just the opposite. Giving up on this year would be trading McGrady for expiring contracts or trading Artest just so we don't lose him in the offseason. Unless Morey works his magic, those are the types of trades most likely to happen. Both hurt us this season. Missed this one. This is very true. One of them might have to go. I just don't want it to be Ron.
