I disagree with people who say Nash can only be effective in a run and gun system. He is a shooter, which is the most the important thing the Rockets need from that position in my opinion.
I agree. Along with getting Nash comes more points per season then Rafer, higher field goal percentage, more assists, and a faster paced tempo bringing the ball up the court. Nash would be the piece that would put us in the top spot in the west, think in terms of what Billups brought to Denver. A point guard can make or break a team.
Anyone that thinks Nash is going to be traded really needs to take a good look at themselves and ask what drugs they are on.
except Nash plays no defense and isn't the leader Billups is...clearly. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy and think he'd be fantastic on this team...but just saying, defense wins championships is overrated, but has its use as a saying. Nash is really really bad at defense. I'd also be concerned at his turnover tendency. Which is fine in a fast paced high scoring offense, but when you slow the offense down, as Phoenix has done this year, and Nash is still turning the ball over 3.6 a game, it's not good. Rafer isn't the player Nash is, obviously, but he does have a better assist to turnover ratio.
Uh. The Suns are a game away from last place. They're coming off two games where they got blown out in Boston and then followed that up with a loss to the Knicks. Nash has talked about going elsewhere when he hits FA. Anyone whose watched the Suns this year knows that they are simply not good. Nash being traded is definitely in the realm of possibility.
Detroit could be a possible destination. Rip seems unhappy there... Lol who are we kidding? Artest in Detroit? Hahahaha that be the biggest joke in the NBA, like, ever! P.S. This thread needs to be merged with random trades.
That is why I keep mentioning Nash. The Suns offense and defense this year are horrible and guys like Amare, Nash, and Barbossa don't really know where they fit in with this new team that has been totally raped and reconfigured in the span of a year. I think all those guys will probably be some place else within a year and I don't care what Kerr says about Amare being there franchise player, I don't believe anything that comes out of that guys mouth.
hmmmm...where to start? A guy says his sister saw McGrady not taking rehab seriously. Clues that it could be true: 1. Tmac was not recovered from an injury that everyone else who did their rehab would have recovered from. 2. Tmac was sporting a nice moon face since day 1 of training camp. 3. Tmac was sporting a nice gut to match that moon face. 4. Tmac had to quit twice this season to get into shape. So we know Tmac didn't rehab properly or try to stay in shape this summer. Someone had a story that backed up those facts. What's so hard to believe? On the other hand, Ron has not done anything that we know of that would make the Rockets "unhappy with him." Stop trying so hard to stick for Tmac. He isn't reading your posts and he isn't going to invite you to his house for a sleepover because you stuck up for him online.
Extend Artest for 4 or 5 years at either $44 million or $55 million per year depending on the amount of years. Trade Battier for the player's in leebigez's signature. In Outlaw you get a young athletic player with long arms who can attack the basket and take and make big shots. Outlaw also hasn't reached his ceiling as a player yet. He's got room to grow. In Frye you get a legitimate young backup for Yao. Portland and McMillan value a player like Battier so it works out for all sides. Shane is the odd man out.
You think Portland and McMillan would value Battier, and yet you do not. Do you think Battier just fits better with that team, or that McMillan is a fool?
If Nash gets traded the Suns will implode for two years straight, they will have Shaq on contract with no PG, Amare will immediately post to leave. Do you really think the Suns Owner will bother trading him and post consecutive losses in a economic climate like this? Nash is their only legitimate chance to be competitive. The fan base reaction would be incredible.
We need Ron for the playoffs - to make defensive stops down the stretch. Do not forget our weaknesses of past years. Is the offense as fluid with him in the game? Probably not, but it's a tradeoff you take.
Ya? Well I have a friend's friend's mother's sister-in-law's son's girlfriend who said Yao Ming flashed her in a Houston parking lot. Seriously.
That would be terrible, if Ron is shopped, who can we get? Im not so optimistic about when without Ron we can pass the 1st round. Without Ron, our lineup is almost the same as last season, the difference is Yao may not out this season, also can tmac do well at playoffs? If I was Alexander, I would fire Morey if he trade Ron. Such a terrible rumour hope never come true.
