Pretty obvious they'd be looking at trading at least one of those guys considering they'll both be restricted free agents after the season. Highly doubt they want to pay both those guys as much as they'll get on the market, especially with all the cap space that will be thrown around.
Not much to see here either. Pretty obvious one has to go... you're not paying both. In my opinion, it really needs to be Jones. What does he do that elevates this team? If D-Mo is dealt, you need to be getting something significant.
I'd like to see both go, unless D-Mo gets better at boxing out. We need a PF who can rebound, shoot, and defend.
Lol @ Rockets selling TJones like this...but forreal he is young so that might be your best selling point.
If not for his surgery, I don't think the Rockets would even consider it. They need to see him play as many games as possible, before the deadline, for obvious reasons.
Also, in other news they are thinking about trading either Corey Brewer, or James Harden. Potentially trading Jason Terry, or Dwight Howard.
The options I see One of them is traded for a pick and space/expiring Both will be traded for a cheap vet + pick/space Neither will be traded and we let one walk Neither will be traded, we let both walk and sign or trade for a replacement. Definitely not paying both not matter what happens so no brainer to check the market and explore all options.
Unless the Rockets think his back problem makes him too much of a risk to sign to a mega long term deal.
Definitely agree. T Jones is the odd man out. Being out half of last year certainly hurt his development. But I haven't seen enough consistency on either end of the floor to warrant a contract. Dmo, on the other hand, has certainly proved he can play in this league.
