look at his college stats and look at his nba highlights on youtube.

he has great footwork around the basket and has touch out to 15 feet. a high arching jumpshot...similar to carlos boozer. thats actually a pretty good comp. a little more athletic than boozer IMO though but not as much of a banger down low. he has a 7'4 wingspan and 9'1 standing reach. his vertical is only 31 inches, but he's a pretty good weakside shotblocker.

    I bet its:

    Jamaal Tinsley
    Ike Diogu

    for

    Rafer Alston
    Spanoulis
    Head
    26th pick

If we trade head+sura+pick or some other combination to get Diogu AND get Marquis Daniels....then I would say Tmac's request for a younger PF and another playmaker is answered.

both daniels and tinsley are facing trial for a fight outside a bar...so im guessing both have fallen out of favor with management. daniels also has some injury concerns.

    tinsley
    daniels
    diogu

    for

    alston
    head
    sura
    vspan
    26th pick
    snyder

basically head, alston, 26th for daniels, tinsley, diogu since we never used vspan, sura, or snyder at all.

they need a shooter, they got one. they need a PG to replace tinsley and both alston and tinsley put up similar numbers. vspan is expiring but if he stays, he could be something. they get lots of expiring contracts and head plus the 26th to pick someone.

Alston, Head, Sura, and #26 for Tinsley, Diogu

I Know Tinsley's contract sucks, but maybe a change of scenary for Alston and Tinsley would be better for both. Also, Tinsley might fit in better in Adelman's system. He's a decent assist guy who has a good vision for the floor. Maybe a change can help him get back some of his 2005 form.

I watched this guy in GS and theres a reason why hes been bounced from two crappy teams(GS was crappy when they had him). In addition to being undersized hes also laterally slow and doesn't play any defense. I don't know about you, but I would pass on a former lottery pick who has been on two crappy teams. The only way I would take him is if we transplant chuckys heart into Diogu's. This is a risky trade considering Diogu hasn't shown much in two years.

Remember everyone initially said Indiana got the better deal, but in hindsight they got shafted. I remember reading Diogu was the piece Larry Bird was trying to acquire from GS and now Larry Legend wants to discard him for very low draft pick.

I don't really like Tinsley, I don't really know his numbers but from watching his play last year he looked like Rafer. No more playground legends please.

Moneyball will never take on Tinsley contract. We have Rafer here who is exactly the same and almost 3 milions cheaper and healthier.

Vspan + #26 for Diogu so Vspan can go back to Greek.

Diogu is a good prospect and will fit in the Rockets nicely. At least Diogu has nice post games and can dunk. Oh yeah, next season, the Rockets will dunk more and also have more fast breaks.

Just keep it simple, the rockets cant trade 7 players in 1 trade

    #26 or Head+JLIII or Snyder+JLIII for Ike

    that is fine to me

Even Kirk Snyder and Steve Novak work for Ike Diogu. I would like to either retain Head or use him in a 2nd trade. If we do have to use Head for Diogu I would be all right with it.

Oddly enough, this guy went way higher in the draft than many people thought he would go because of great workouts thereby depriving the team a lot of people thought would get him from getting him. That team was the Rockets. I remember his stock skyrocketing thanks to those workouts.

I hope this doesn't mean they intend to keep Hayes as the starting PF.

    How about:

    Alston
    Sura
    Head
    Novak
    #26

    for

    Ike Diogu
    Troy Murphy

Pacers get 3 young players, cap relief, and a decent PG.
Rockets solve their PF problem and get guys who are capable of backing up Yao also.

Murphy can rebound and shoot but he is slow and doesn't help us much IMO.
