I would rather trade Luther Head and our #26 for Julian Wright or Al Thornton, but I'll take Diogu over Fazekas/Davis any day.

Unsigned draft picks have no value in a trade. It's going to cost something additional. Sura's contract at a minimum. If I were IND, I'd ask for Luther Head.

B bloddy S ... Indy wouldn't even consider doing anything until the JO'N situation is resolved. Then, #26 for Ike? As someone said earlier he was a key cog in the mid-season deal. BTW - Donny Walsh knows his stuff.

Pacers suck. Thats why Ike was 'exploding' at a rate of 3.3 rebounds per 13 minutes on that team. Please. I say we should just draft the best player we can get at 26, disregard position.

After listening to the Tinsley crap I can see the possibility of the trade being #26 and Sura's expiring contract for Tinsley and Ike Diogu. They want him out of town like we want Rafer out. The only problem is that I think Tinsley's contract is kind of hefty, so we can't afford it. If this is the deal then you make it in a second, see if Tinsley can catch on with us, or dump him

I'd say so :) I didn't watch Diogu at all last year and slightly concerned that he didn't progress or get more minutes, but I loved him when he was a rookie. I think I'd take Diogu over anything at #26 ... curious to see what they do.

Draftexpress reported one day before the draft that the Rockets would take Luther Head and they were right. I also remember that Larry Bird was rumored to have been very high on Luther Head before that draft.

    Interesting.

The only thing is Diogu is undersized and he's been played a bit at C because of being slow at PF.

However, Head for Diogu seems like a good trade to me.

It would also allow more PT for Wells and Spanoulis, whom IMO are better players than the above.

diogu would be a great pickup. look up the numbers he's put up when he's gotten significant playing time. the only reason they would trade diogu would be because theyre keeping jermaine oneal. theyd also like to get under the cap. i offered this:

    luther head
    #26
    sura
    vspan
    snyder

    for

    ike diogu
    marquis daniels

In regards to his rebounding, discount the per 48 minute numbers. They tell you nothing.

His rebounding rate (RbR) has hovered around 15.2 for the last 2 seasons, which is a little weaker than Udonis Haslem but similar to Andrew Bogut and Zaza Pachulia. Nothing great, but his high intensity game would seem to complement Yao well.

Before we wet ourselves let us ask the right questions.
Is he good around the basket?
    Is he good at rebounding?
Is he good getting missed shots and making putbacks?
Is he skilled and tall enought to guard Doncan and Boozer?
Is he athletic and how high is his stand still jump?
    Is he foul prone?
    Does he have good footwork?
    Will he compliment Yao Ming?
If the answer is yes to all of these questions then he is our new Power Forward, provided we don't have to give too much to get him. :p

Best thing for Indy re: JT would be for him to be incarcerated for the term of his contract. The man can ball, get hurt, and get in trouble. An odd triple threat.
