9 RPG before the injury vs. 9 RPG after the injury. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/amare_stoudemire/career_stats.html
Dont believe the hype Offensivley, Amare can be the best powerfoward in the NBA. Steve Nash has nothing to do with him having the best first step of any bigman in the paint. Amare dominated TIM DUNCAN in a playoff series. What exactly has Chris Bosh done for his team in the playoffs, when it counts? Isnt Toronto in the East? Why hasnt his teams has been consistently good?
Bosh kinda plays soft so he's yet to hit major injuries That being said coming back from microfracture surgery and returning to elite status or Allstar status is something that only few players could do See Tracy
If we could do that and keep our picks, that's just golden. I can't imagine we could get away without dropping the Knicks pick in the deal.
I don't think gaining Stoudemire and losing Scola would result in much of a difference in the win column. I'd rather they pass on this one.
Landry didn't make max $$ and we only had to get a draft pick to get him. I'm not saying Amare is bad. I just think he and Boozer are undersized. I'm tired of watching Gasol work them over, and since we have to go through LA that's a concern.
Yahoo sports guy with weird name: "Miami planning to meet with Amar'e Stoudemire after midnight EST in L.A., sources say. Houston and Cleveland expected to reach out soon too."
I dont believe in hype. No he can not be the best power forward offensively in basketball. Not every pg can run a pick and roll like nash. And your argument about team success is not fair because all things are not equal.Amare game is to face you up and run past you, not much of a offensive game. His game is exciting but not always effective. Bosh game is effective when the game is on the line you can give him the ball and make a play, with bosh you have to set him up.
Same thing, but to a lesser extent. Bosh would probably be enough of an upgrade, offensively and defensively, for it to be worthwhile. I'd do the Bosh sign-and-trade. But I'm not as big on it as a lot of people here. Scola's a big loss.
+20-30% increase in rebounding +100% increase in blocked shots Better spacing to allow other players to become more effective also. Consistent offense from game to game.
Got to look at the bigger picture. IF that trade goes down, there will be one more to get us the rebounding back up C. I'll take his shotblocking though
Gambo620 Amare's first choice is to stay in Phoenix. But I am told he won't leave money on the table. Suns offer roughly 4/$84 - Max elsewhere 5/100
Sorry to say but Bosh is more of a jump shooter than Amare so I don't know where you're getting this "effective in the post" business is. The dream is to have Bosh come onto this Rockets team and score/create in the same manner as to what Webber did within the Princeton offense when he was in Sacramento.
Are you throwing out percentages or can you provide me with something concrete that proves that Bosh brings in a 20-30% increase in rebounding over what Scola currently gives us?
Gambo620 Plus Amare wants 6 yrs from Phx not 5-So unless Phx caves in to demands all it will take is max offer from Mia, NY, Chi or Houst (sign+trd)
What's with the Being Undersized- enigma? I agree with Boozer 6'8 however Stat is 6'10. Where did you see those 7 foot PFs growing on trees? Seriously.
