    Boston trades:
    T. Battie
    E. Willaims

    Rockets trade:
    Eddie Griffin
    Cuttino Mobley
    Bastjan Nachbar

According to ESPN message board..and more than one person mentioned it..not saying it's true...but worth disussing

    crap trade though

Unlikely....but I do like Erik Willaims a lot. He's a really nice player. Battie is a good shot blocker, decent rebounder, and can score a bit.

But I just can't see getting rid of Mobley. And who knows what is going to happen with Griffin, but he has loads of upside too.

    ARGH!

The several postings about the it being reported on the radio has me a little worried. That would be a terrible, terrible trade. Battie's stats are worse than Eddie's. Cat is much better than anyone in that trade. And Boki looks like he's starting to show some promise.

Change your moniker to Celiticsfan86. No need to use disguises. This trade gives it away.

Can you tell I don't like this trade? Actually, I wouldn't even give up EG in that deal.

I guess the logic would be to get rid of Boki and Eddie, and the price is Cuttino.

We get robbed. We don't need any of those players. The only trade I want to see is getting rid of some fat contracts for a POWER forward or maybe a true PG.

JVG aint gonna get rid of Cat before he gets a chance to see if he can be an important piece this year...like him or not, Cat is talented, and if he can subjecate his game to the team, can be a big part of the team.

Last night, when Yao and Sf were off the floor, our O stagnated bad..with a fully healthy Cat in the game...that doesnt happen in the future.

On top of that, Boki is finally starting to show some stuff on both ends of the floor...get rid of him? He is the only player we have that is a true SF.
JJ and Pike and Agriff are a little short for the perfect 3...

I just dont see it happening, and until I hear it from a better source than ESPN message hell.....I call BS.

I dont mind as much losing Eddie and Meech if by some weird chance that really happened...but I still dont think we should get rid of Cat for the reasons I stated above...

I wonder how many times it's going to take for people to realize that posting rumors from the ESPN message boards REALLY PISSES OFF Clutch and the rest of the admins...

Rest assured, if there was anything to this, we would know about it, and Feigen would read it here and put it in the Chronicle...

Know and understand the hierchy for how information about the Rockets gets out.

Say it ain't so!!!!! I just traded for Mobley in my fantasy league!!!!

But more importantly, now how long do we wait until Steve Francis gets irate, demands a trade, now that he lost his bro' Cuttino? Geeze, I don't like the sound of this! Not saying it's right of Francis to demand a trade, but certainly those two have become close, and tightly knit.

Cuttino showed some very uncommon loyalty to us also, by taking his current contract.

    UGH......

We would be stupid to make this trade.

The Cat is worth more than Tony Battie and Eric Williams put together. Williams is 31 and hasn't even put up great numbers. Battie has played over 70 games only one in the last 3 years.
Amechi hasn't played enough for me to make any judgement calls on and Eddie??? that's hit or miss right now...

Eric Williams doesn't have a very strong stat line because Pierce (deservedly) and Walker (less deservedly) took most of the Celtics shots. In their first pre-season without Antoine Walker, the C's hammered the TWolves and Williams was high point man with 18.

Williams IMO is a strong upgrade over Posey and Battie is Cato with better hands and a much cheaper contract - 3 years @ ~15m.

Like someone mentioned, this doesn't sound like something JVG would do without giving Cat a chance...unless he really[/] saw something go all of those tapes he watched. :D

If Mobley goes, JJax or Pike is the starting SG. Not sure if Nachbar can play SG fulltime.
