The guy you quoted just made his first post in a decade and this is the response he gets? come on. He had this post in 2003. I think we are trading Wall to Chicago.
Man, that's a blast from the past. Guy went from 22 year old potential phenom to out of the league in 2 years.
Brian Windhorst, who covered Miami for four years, is oddly aggressive in trashing Oladipo's trade value. I think he's getting all his info and motivation on this from there. Woj is contradicting his reporting, but it's also clear (most of) his info comes from Houston. Woj has an impeccable reputation. If he's saying the Rockets have multiple opportunities for a young player + pick, I would think he's taking more than just Rafael Stone's word for it. His report that teams over the cap are interested in holding his Bird Rights seems targeted for a message directly to the Heat. It takes away the leverage of a team like Miami, who thinks they will just sign Oladipo with cap room in the offseason. Wild conspiracy theory: I think Rockets and Heat are playing poker through the press and i wouldn't be surprised if it's over Tyler Herro. One of these reporters is going to take a ding to their rep by Thursday.
Houston badly wants to trade Victor Oladipo, a two-time All-Star who will become a free agent at season’s end. But with Oladipo receiving middling reviews for his play this season, and his durability in question, the Rockets face challenges in generating an encouraging return. — Stein
Who is Stein loyal too? Clutch just gave us a breakdown of Windhorst/Woj. Curious who is feeding Stein.
The Hawks will be a great trading partner. Even if we do not get Collins, man I will take Cam and Tony Snell, we need shooting bad and Snell is shooting 57% on 3pointers this year!!!!
The Mavericks and Rockets are among the teams who’ve expressed exploratory interest in Drummond, HoopsHype has learned. Ultimately, many around the league expect Drummond to be bought out and land with either the Lakers or Nets. However, the trade interest in Drummond is noteworthy looking towards the summer if Drummond signs a deal for the rest of the season upon the completion of a buyout. https://hoopshype.com/lists/nba-tra...dinwiddie-andre-drummond-richaun-holmes-more/
I guess you could trade John Wall, Dante Exum, and change for Drummond and Love? But given Cleveland's backcourt talent, why? For the Rockets, it would complete the tour of absolute worst contracts in the NBA.
I can tell you who is NOT feeding Stein and that is Windhorst. That fool is keeping every bite to himself.
